August 18, 200916 yr I'm really into leaders of the free world album at the mo, I like how you get glimpses of their progression into 'seldom seen kid'.
August 18, 200916 yr anybody know anything about the record they are going to release within the year? there was an interview on the Coldplay website, anyone know more? No timescale yet for the next album...they plan to return to the studio late Sept.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8207256.stm "We've got 30 or 40 odds and ends musically," Garvey told BBC 6 Music.
August 19, 200916 yr Good things take time, remember. Radiohead took ages for In Rainbows = Brilliant Doves took ages for Kingdom of rust = Brilliant Elbow'll do it right.
August 19, 200916 yr they will, right now, after releasing The Seldom Seen Kid, they can't really mess up.
August 19, 200916 yr My WMP came across Weather To Fly, and I'm thinking God, this band is sooooooo good!!! The song sounded like a very fulfilling taste of chocolate.

August 23, 200916 yr looks intense, so are they going to do that for all their records? I don't think they've gotten much out about them other than the Seldom Seen Kid. The bonus stuff looks good, but the sessions don't do it for me, b-sides are where to go, and i've heard almost all of them! :)
August 23, 200916 yr It's a good idea :) Hopefully they will do deluxe editions for casts and leaders, although seeing as that track-listing doesn't really cover many of the b-sides from that era (Vum Garda About Time Suffer One Thing That Was Bothering Me None One Lucky With Disease Press Your Lips (Newborn) Puckfair Stumble ) It doesn't look that good :(
August 23, 200916 yr yeah, well if you have the b-sides, like me, you wouldn't be concerned! :) lol most of them are good, i might be missing the last two?
September 6, 200916 yr I love Elbow. I love The Seldom Seen Kid and have always ignored their earlier work but the minute I heard "I've Got Your Number" today it shot right in to my top 10 fav songs of all time.
September 18, 200916 yr Just back from the MEN gig tonight, which was absolutely flipping incredible! The band themselves seemed quite overawed by the noise & enthusiasm of the crowd. Guy was constantly asking the crowd "You all ok?", after touring with Coldplay over the summer, I wondered if he'd picked that up from CM  People in the crowd sitting right on the immediate left and right of the stage (must have had real crappy view!) were all given white t-shirts and told they were the Elbow choir. Guy got them singing bits, especially the woah-oh-oh's in GfD. It was so good. I got some vids, dunno how good they are, will d/load camera in the morning and youtube aything decent. :) Aw..great gig.."one day like this a year'd see me right" :D
September 19, 200916 yr The Stops [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FkJTyRbrE4]YouTube - Elbow The Stops MEN Manchester 18.09.09 with the Elbow choir[/ame] with the Elbow choir :D
September 19, 200916 yr ...The Stops, I'm trying to use my memory, but is this a new song? No, it's on Leaders of the Free World (2005) Here's a more recent one.. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrOSxdNB5DA]YouTube - Elbow Grounds for Divorce MEN Manchester 18.09.09[/ame]
