An Elbow thread! Sorry to be off topic but I'm just discovering all these great threads. :D I was at the MEN gig and I loved it, although I've not been a fan for too long so wasn't that familiar with some of their older stuff. I still haven't seen the South Bank Show special, was away when it was on, I will get round to it though. :)

So, what do you guys expect from the 5th album? Will it be released later this year and will it include that one song that everyone will ascociate with Elbow??:shrug:

I don't expect anyfink in particular. I would like to see a return to something like their older stuff, something a bit more like Leaders of The Free World.

I've liked them ever since I saw them last year when they opened for coldplay :)

I'm just listening to Mirrorball on the Live From Abbey Road cd right now - so beautiful

I've been addicted to "Some Riot" lately. Elbow really are a talented bunch.

I never mentioned it, but I used "Friend of Ours" in a video for school last year.

And their endorsment on Music Matters...

The Seldom Seen Kid is absolutely amazing!

I've been listening to them since I heard Grounds for Divorce in House MD season six promo

Yeah, there's a group on Facebook trying to stop the usage of Grounds For Divorce in advertisment and so on.

I think I'm finally starting to like Elbow.

Facebook campaigns/petitions are hilarious(ly pathetic). I fail to see the big deal. It's not "selling out" and it gives the band the exposure that they totally deserve.

I think I'm finally starting to like Elbow.

Yay! :D

I know, it took long enough. :P

...and it gives the band the exposure that they totally deserve.

:inquisitive: Which is what they want....it was more of a matter of fact than an endorsment from my part, I think it's good publicity.

I think I'm finally starting to like Elbow.
