August 12, 201015 yr ^ Cheers! If it was any other band, I'd say that "Sapling Trust" was an awful name. But yet...I think it fits Elbow and their "natural" feeling. I know the name is still tentative, but I can't say I'd be unhappy with that name. I haven't listened to many Elbow B-sides, to be honest, so I'll give those a listen soon! :)
August 12, 201015 yr I just realized I love Elbow. About time  (no pun intended) I haven't listened to many Elbow B-sides, to be honest, so I'll give those a listen soon! :) Their older ones are better  Long War Shuffle, Lay Down Your Cross, McGreggor, George Lassoes The Moon and Whisper Grass for starters. And Strangeways To Holcombe Hill in 4.20 should be their opening song live :awesome:

YouTube- Elbow - Hotel Istanbul And here's Every Bit The Little Girl YouTube- Elbow-Every Bit The Little Girl And Li'l Pissed Charming Tune YouTube- Elbow-Lil Pissed Charmin Tune There's also two more b-sides from The Seldom Seen Kid era but they're more common. August 13, 201015 yr Are you specifically after the EP's or just the tracks that don't appear on Asleep In The Back? Cause I'll have to assemble them from my B-side library.
August 18, 201015 yr I've been listening to all the Elbow albums on shuffle for the last two hours now  I swear Guy Garvey could sing me the phonebook and it'd sound amazing :D

August 18, 201015 yr Are you specifically after the EP's or just the tracks that don't appear on Asleep In The Back? Cause I'll have to assemble them from my B-side library. Ain't the tracks from the album a different recording/mix than the EP tracks?
August 20, 201015 yr Bump. Elbow extend their congrartulations to I Am Kloot for their nonimation to the Mercury Prize. (Old news)

August 23, 201015 yr probably they are better live. (coudn't seen them other than through youtube) i  their performance with the philamonic orchestra of Weather to fly, my fave yet so far. i should do as squareonefiivesix.
August 23, 201015 yr Yeah, I agree. That Abbey Road version of Grounds is unbelievable though. I love Mark's guitar playing that riff over and over through the whole song - why that's not as prominent in the album version I don't know. I'll have to check out that Weather to Fly though, Darlene
August 23, 201015 yr Hmm I can't find it... any chance of a link please? Or did you mean the Abbey Road version?
August 23, 201015 yr She meant the Abbery Road version ;) not the philarmonic  Elbow working on new album about 'growing up' The Bury group's fifth studio effort has a working title of 'Lippy Kids' Elbow have revealed that they are currently working on their fifth album with the working title of 'Lippy Kids'. The follow-up to 2008's Mercury Prize winning, 'The Seldom Seen Kid', frontman Guy Garvey explained that the LP will be about "growing up". "The working title of the album at the moment is 'Lippy Kids'," he told BBC 6 Music."It's quite a nostalgic thing. I've got a thing about growing up, not needing to, but a certain period of your life when - well kids are called 'hoodies' these days aren't they when they reach their teens. I remember it being an amazing important time, so I've written a lot about that." Set to be released next year, Garvey added that they have completed about three quarters of the LP. "We're all buzzing off it," he explained. "You have periods of nervousness and then you have periods of elation. And we're all buzzing off it at the minute." As previously reported, the group admitted that early album sessions had seen them dabble in shoegaze and psychedelia. http://www.nme.com/news/elbow/52575

August 23, 201015 yr There's an anrtical about that as well from last year and one after that where one member (I think Pete) denies it.
