Link
OK, so I'm *HOPING* Coldplay will be back here in the US next summer - if not next, then the one after - and I'm thinking of maybe doing a roadtrip/vacation, and then seeing a few different shows along the way. So my question is, where do you guys think the best city to see a CP show would be?! Also - this might seem like a dumb question - but how do you get tickets for the pit? I went on the presale for the Raleigh concert right when it started but the best seats I could get were about 20ish rows back :(

yellow745
Well you would want to go to cities where you know there arent that many crazy coldplay fans. Dont go to LA or NYC...Id suggest Texas because when I had my pit ticket I got there 3 hours before the concert and no on was there. I had the same issue with pit tickets so i had to get mine through a scalper website. (razorgator.com) But if you wanna go to the BEST Coldplay show, London is your best bet(since thats where the boys are from :D)
Texasluvsjonny
I would say what ever city they are playing in. Go to that show. :P Try for cities where they do back to back shows. Travel once, see them twice...that's my moto. :D
Link
Yeah.. I knew London was the *best*, and as much as I'd LOVE to get over to London, I seriously doubt it'd happen.. at least not for a few years, haha. Afraid I'll be stuck in the States for this trip :(. And ok, scalper websites, thanks! :)

Emily1931
If you live in the northern U.S. like me, Toronto is GREAT! There are a lot of great, energetic fans, and the pit area is still large, so you have a good chance of getting up front id you get there early. The Toronto concerts rock since Chris has said it's one of their favorite places to play :)

I think maybe going somewhere like there to enjoy the show and then smaller ones for the pit would be a good plan. Raleigh last night actually had a very empty pit during Elbow, I was surprised. Dfit00
There was an interview back in 2008 after the European leg, that mentioned that Chris liked both Paris-Bercy nights and mentioned them as "the best shows so far from the VLV tour". It might have changed already.

mrman78
I'd say any major city since the crowd is usually better or possibly sold out. Not always, but it helps :)

Ebs757
Chris always says things about chicago, when playing in chicago, that he never says during other shows. 1x in 2006 and 2x playing in 2008 Chris says Chicago is one of their favorite places to play, just check youtube or download the gigs on coldplaybootlegs.com. Also at Alpine Valley this year Chris said it was the best audience the have had all tour long, most of the die- hards who were there excluding myself, believe it. Malcolm-Edge
Any Canadian or European city. Vancouver was so-so night one, but the second night was the best concert of my life. Vancouver has some crazy fans! Toronto, or Montreal are also amazing places to see them. They love Canada, X&Y Tour Video was filmed in Toronto and VLV 2009 was filmed in Vancouver. Has to say something, does it not? Chicago is also a great place to see them. Wherever they have filmed, bet its a great audience.
