I had a thought last night while lying in bed and listening to a live version of Death with never Conquer on my ipod. Do you think Will, will get to sing a song on the next album whenever that comes out? See I think theres a chance he will. Because Chris praises how good he sings and I thin it would be nice to see what he can give to a song and when its played live maybe he can stand on the main stage and sing it?

I'd love it if he sang a couple of his own B-sides or something in studio recordings, but I don't think the world is ready for him to have his own track on LP5 yet.

I voted Yes, I think doing the live solo and the response that it gets will give him the confidence and I think Chris would welcome the change

 

Maybe Gwyneth's worried about Will taking over though and that's why she wants Chris to go solo :laugh3: (Haven't dared look at that thread but I imagine people are going nuts about the story!)

Honestly I think Will is very self-critical and being called the most sensible one in Coldplay I don't think he will embrace the idea. It would be great if he had a b-side definitely, like The Goldrush or something.

 

A thought just occured to me - what if Will gave a seal of disapproval to Famous Old Painters because he sang on it?? :D :D

I think he would, but I don't really think that it will be on the album. I think that new Coldplay fans would get kind of freaked if they heard someone other then Chris singing on LP5.

I think they'll give Will maybe one or two things if they do but still have Chris being the main singing entity.

Good point, he said by album four everyone knows what a singer sounds like... not everyone knows what Will sounds like.

It would be cool but I doubt he'd do a whole track just him. But I think he'll feature heavily as backing to Chris. Hopefully the other boys will too but I think Will will be main one. A B-side Will track would be great.
