I hate college

Featured Replies

It's such a fucking waste. I'm letting schooling get in the way of my education. All this time I'm wasting on elective classes that don't do me any good, while I don't have time to do all the research I need to do for my career. Fucking ridiculous.

see i don't mind learning stuff, i just can't fucking stand the people. you'd think that 20 something year olds could act their age, and not act like middle school kids. well at least honestly going to the school is a confidence booster because they're mostly dumbasses

Are the kids misbehaving in class?

I love learning but the there is an endless amount of things I need to learn for a career and than their is all this crap that I don't have time for. I wish colleges would just make you stick to what you need not all the extra junk.

I really like all my classes. I just miss my school and old friends...

And like the_gloaming, I don't like some of the people. A lot of them are idiots.

I enjoyed my classes, that is when I decided to show up.

YOU REBEL.

I don't like in America how you are forced to do classes that aren't even linked to your degree.

I will be studying what I specifically want to study.

I agree. I did my A Levels in Switzerland and we had to take every single subject up to A Level standard. The good thing about it is that it keeps your options open. I could (theoretically) study and subject at any Swiss university of my choice. The problem is that it stops a lot of people from getting A Levels. It's also a massive disadvantage if you would like to study in a different country.

Yeah, liberal arts colleges get tiring really fast since half of your core is just a waste of time.

We are probably all idiots in someone's eyes.

.

What are you studying? And what for?

The trick with electives is if you don't like the idea, find things that are useful to your field to study. Many electives can have little if anything to do with what you think you ought to be studying but will teach you really, really useful skills that you will be greatful for someday- it's just not always obvious.

it is so true^ but we passed an exam which takes 3 hours 15 minutes for the college think about the stres! ur life, plans depends on it!

Agreed. I already know what I want to do with my life; this other shit is a waste of my time.

I hate how they make you take like AP Latin or something like that. I am taking AP Latin right now just because I need the extra credits. It's not like I am going to use Latin in everyday life. It is a dead language.

It's useful for Doctors, actually.

I had to take 4 years of Latin in middle/high school...

I KNOW.

It's worse in high school though.

Well actually I can't really say that because I haven't finished it yet. But I think it will be.

Are you kidding, all you REALLY need to know are your common Latin roots, you can pick those up pretty easily.

Classes I'm taking this year:

AP Statistics

AP US History

Math Analysis

Study Hall

English

Chemistry

Humanities

Classes that will be useful for my career as a business entrepreneur:

AP Stat

Math Analysis...some of it...

(I know it's good to know how to write well, but seriously all we're doing this year is reading a bunch of shite books)

I hate math... for some reason, I know I'm never gonna get rid of it...

I love my Uni. Yeah, we have to do some electives but you hardly notice them whilst taking the real stuff. I take them sometimes to my advantage and go skip them to do more work for the other courses. But however, I'm done with a lot of them and most of the courses I'll be taking now only involve my major.

I like the women at college, well the ones that are legal, so there are about 2 or 3. I should have done well at the private college so I wouldn't have to be at the college I'm at now. At least when I get my AA I'll be able to get my Bachelors at a real school.
