Not nervous at all about the next album, no, it will be fantastic I'm certain.

 

I am nervous about ever seeing them live again, though. They already miss so many old classics out it makes me sad, and I'm going to miss songs like Violet Hill and 42 so much :(

One of the things that surprises me is you are out on tour, not even finished with this tour and you are allready working ot next album.

maybe the will come with a logo or something for the name:\ it's always written in computer letters. i would love if they coninue the viva style, i really loved it. but maybe it's also great to see them with a new theme or something. or something like the first 2 albums.

I wonder what the art direction will be like? Viva has been very remeniscent of the old, French-revolution style clothing and decorations, so I wonder what the new 'look' will be like? I hope it's something just as impressive as Viva's looks.

 

And I heard also that the new album was being aimed at being released Dec 2009. Though Josh indicated otherwise..... I do wonder how it's coming along.

If it's going to be like the "new thing" I hope to god it's like Prospekt's March, that EP is really good, sans the "wait how did they change it?" remix and the "here's a famous rapper doing something over forty seconds of an otherwise unchanged song" bits.

I Dont care what news source says it will be here december 2009. That's not going to happen. I am thinking late 2010 or 2011

December is too early. I rather have quality, not quantity! CDs should not be churned out fast food style...I like my albums gourmet..take time to make them.

 

 

To the user who said they wanted the art to be as impressive as VIVA, I totally agree. I am not a big fan of the music of Viva, but since I'm a history buff and French history is my focus of study, I loved Viva! It was very beautiful and creative and I loved the Viva tour more than Twisted Logic. The butterflies and set-up was gorge.

 

Oh and I like Prospekt better than Viva, too! Glass of Water, Life in Technicolor ii, Poppyfields were great. Rainy Day was OKAY.

I agree...bring back AROBTTH and I will officially be in heaven. If it's another Viva...ehh, they'll obviously still be the same four guys, Chris, Guy, Jonny, and Will, the ones I will always love with all my heart, but I won't be as into it. I hope they know that :rolleyes:

Sarah haha. Don't be. They can't go wrong. Its Coldplay remember? Maybe it won't get as much popularity as VLVODAAHF or probably will. But I think Coldplay can get bigger and maybe better :D

I'm not scared. I think that they're trying new things (obviously) and that's going to be good for them. I'm excited.

 

It might not be the best thing, but if you don't give new things a shot you will start to play the same things over and over again.

 

New producers and quote on quote "fifth and sixth" members will help them out.

 

They can't always be perfect, so, if you don't like the next album, that makes you human. :P

Also, they've said previously that the new album will be more acoustic, which I am looking forward to a lot. I hope they make it a mixture of the new Viva sound and the Parachutes acoustic glory... something like Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground, you know?

 

I liked Prospekt better than Viva as well. I hope the new album is more like that EP than the album. ^^

I'm not nervous, Coldplay are the ones who could be nervous. :P

 

I would like it to be very innovative, perhaps a bit related to Parachutes and Prospek't March. It needs the lyric strength of some AROBTTH songs or better. These are my thoughts right now, though...
