A Friday Random Poll - What would you do?

Featured Replies

Imagine, you are walking down a street, your on your own, minding your own business, such as thinking of a glorious beef pie, you are passing the local police station, where on the floor you see something which looks strangely like some money.

You stop and have a look to discover it is in fact some money, £50/$50/€50 etc worth depending on where your from, you look around, but there is nobody around, now you have some options in which you can do:

1 - Ignore the money and carry on your way?

2 - Pick the money up and pocket it and carry on your way?

3 - Pick the money up and take it into the police station opposite (in the hope that nobody comes in to claim it, so in 30 or so days the police give you the money back)?

What would you do?

Unless it's in a wallet, there's no reason to give it to the police.

Tricky ... but I think I would still give it to the police.

I would have to hand it into the police.

I agree. If it's cash there is no way to prove who owns it.

take it to the police. I guess.

you can't fix it now... but i would add another option....

*go back on the same street and give that momey to a poor man / homeless person or society*

Pick up the money and pocket it.

I would do that

Damn, I knew I should have pocketed that money instead of handing it into the police :(

Maybe my fear of Hampshire Police's strange methods at boosting arrest figures and also the CCTV fueled me to hand it in.

Ah well

*go back on the same street and give that momey to a poor man / homeless person or society*

I would do that

I actually have before :wacky:

I would probably pocket it. Unless it's money in a wallet, then I would turn it in to the police.

this

oh come on, only 50 euros?

i'd take them (i've done it twice), unless it was more money, or there were credit cards or whatever.

oh :disappointed:

i did it once with a 5000 pesetas bill

but there were no police near as the case proposed ;)

Well, there's no wallet around or anything to identify the owner, and I don't have that much. Yoinked.

$50? Give to the police? Right right. No fucking way. Who's gonna go to the police station and expect that money to turn up? Maybe if it was $100 or more and it was a big deal. $50, I pocket. Your own fault for dropping it moron.

Ignore that sumbitch, whoever left it there could be a corrupt police officer or something, and it's only fifty bucks. Don't wanna get fucked up by the law.

edit: Wow, I'm the only person who decided to do that, I'm shocked. O_o

I'd hand it to the police, because even if I did pocket the money and walk away with it, I'd just make my self sick with guilt, have nightmares about some poor soul who couldn't eat that day because they accidentally lost their money, and then my attack of conscience would get the better of me and I'd end up back where I'd started.....in front of the police station, handing the money in.

You can just call me Mrs. GoodyTwoShoes.

Well in my case:

Pick it up and pocket it? Not sure, I can be a good guy sometimes.

Gave it to the police? Lol, sure, they are the ones who are going to claim it.

So I just ignore it.
