I thought that one would be reasonable given the price earlier, but it increased by $3,000 or so in the last few minutes. That was surprising.

It even passed his first guitar AND the globe!!! :stunned: However, it was the funniest picture, so maybe that's why :lol:

I was planning to bid on the first guitar until the last few seconds, and my max was higher than the closing price but I didn't bid because of the lack of information - IMO if they had put a single picture of Chris playing his "first guitar" as a little boy, they would have doubled the price easily. I searched all over the internet for a single picture of him playing that guitar, but couldn't find any so I went for his Takamine instead, which you can see him play in every single concert during the early days of the band and the parachutes era.

It even passed his first guitar AND the globe!!! :stunned: As some of us theorized earlier, this may actually be one of the most unique items being auctioned. It seems this guitar was "plain" during the X&Y tour, and they painted it afterward as "practice" for painting the other guitars for the Viva tour. Unique indeed.

December 31, 200916 yr Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!! The last signed lith went this morning. I checked eBay every hour from 11am-11pm yesterday in the hope it might pop up. I gotnto bed at 12am, wake up at 8.30am and find it went up at 8am. I'm gutted! I really wanted something to mark a great decade by my favourite band, but I guess it wasn't to be. I'll have to hope I'm a bit richer in ten years when the next sale comes along.

December 31, 200916 yr No response here either. I have been trying to learn which guitar is actually included in lot Number 43 as there is a mistake with the listing. Item picture shows the one with the painted headstock, but the one Jonny's holding in the picture has the unpainted headstock.

December 31, 200916 yr Yay! I just won Chris's Takamine guitar from Parachutes Tour ! :) ..and I'm happy to say that Chris's Fender Rhodes piano also stays with his Takamine :D I just got Will's Drum from Talk :) Are you going to start a band? :P
