This is hilarious...  I posted about Julien's Auctions in that post from 2011, and today I am COO of the company.   Blacky is sitting behind me in my office right now.  ? Jason

2009 and the Obama era really feels like a lifetime ago ? I wonder what it would be worth now..

I figured the Chris Martin hand-painted Blues King would go for at least $20k. A work of art painted by Chris himself, played heavily by Chris, will be the most valuable piece of this collection for sure. Could be worth $100k+ down the road.

OMG - Viva Tele just went for $24k US!!

Holy crapper! The VIVA guitar went from 5900 pounds to 15,000 pounds in the last minute! I figured it would go up, but DANG.

FAAAARRK!!! :freak::freak::freak:

lo&loud?!?!?!?!

Aaaaww I hope it was Chloe that bought it for Jonny boy!

Gibson Blues King 3 went from 4300 to 10,050 pounds

:stunned: yeah I saw that too :shocked2:

Spare 1 went from 4337 to 12,750 pounds

this is so amusing

Yeah, I ran into the same problem with PayPal (even though you get verified for no limit, there actually is a limit). Over the past few pages in this thread I posted my experience; basically everything will be okay, if PayPal doesn't work you can arrange another form of payment (probably just a bank draft, though).

I just got an e-mail from PayPal this morning, saying thanks for using PayPal "Your first PayPal purchase; wasn't it a breeze?" :dozey: I laughed so hard. I'm thinking "no, it wasn't a breeze, I spent 2 days on the phone with you, and I didn't actually get to purchase it through you so what the f*** are you talking about".

:laugh3:

Don't cha just love automated emails?!?! :whaaat:

^^Ridiculously would also fit! :laugh3:

ok... how did Spare1 just sell for more than the one Chris painted??

That is insane !!

I won Lot 23: Signed AROBTTH poster Jonny!

Yay!!!!!

Congrats !!

FYI - I won Chris's Gibson J200 guitar from A Message! I wanted everybody to know that it didn't go to a scalper or reseller, or any other meanies.

I am a huge Coldplay fan since Parachutes, and have seen them in concert 3x in the U.S. I actually have a picture of myself just before touching Chris Martin on the shoulder when he walked by me during a VIVA arena show... posting on my profile.

'A Message' is the favorite Coldplay song of me and my wife, and I have always wanted a Gibson J200. I was surprised the bidding went up to $9k, which was more than the KC1 guitar just before it, and almost the price of the Parachutes Takamine, but still well worth it for me for something that Chris actually played in concert, in televised performances, etc. (The Gibson J200 costs $5000 new, which probably establishes a high base price to begin with.)

I plan to keep it my whole life, frame the COA, and actually display and play the guitar from time to time. I can't wait to get it and see if it's still set to the odd Message tuning that he used while playing it. An heirloom piece for me for sure.

Good luck to all other coldplaying bidders!

Oh congrats, I'm so happy it went to a real fan!

Hope you'll show it as soon as you get this wonder :nice:

Wow, GBP 10.000,00 for the spare 2!

Coldplay has some very rich fans :shocked2:

People don't understand the real value of things :P

15 grand?! :o

At least Jonny will be happy it went at a decent price :D

Chris' Viva jacket just jumped up to over 6 grand too

Is Angie really trying to get Jonny's one?
If I were Angie I would! :laugh3:
