January 14, 201016 yr there was just a taylor swift song (invisible) on the radio (:\) and she sang this: "I just want open up your eyes and make you realize" Looks fomiliar, doesn't it? "You cut me down to size and opened up my eyes Made me realize what I could not see" coincidence, or just stealing?
January 14, 201016 yr I wouldn't put it past someone like that, but it's probably just a coincidence.
January 14, 201016 yr 'Open up your eyes and make you realise' and assorted variations was used long before Coldplay and will be used many times since. Is a fairly obvious lyric :)
January 14, 201016 yr I'm sure if you type the keys words from those lyrics and the word Lyrics into google, you'd get a good number of results with more songs. Simply a coincident i'd say.
January 14, 201016 yr LOL It's a VERY obvious lyric. The kind of thing I expect from both Coldplay AND Taylor Swift - they both write music for an intellectual devoid target audience, and anything slightly-far-from-obvious would just confuse and alienate their oh-so-mainstream audiences. So no, Taylor Swift didn't steal this lyric from Coldplay. They both just wrestled it from the realm of the infinitely clichéd, with hands composed of dollar bills.
January 14, 201016 yr I wouldn't put it past someone like that, but it's probably just a coincidence. LMAO "I wouldn't put robbing off Coldplay past that commercial bitch Taylor Swift!" HAHAHAHAHA
January 14, 201016 yr This thread is STILL making me lol. If you're going to accuse Taylor Swift of pinching lyrics from the ever-honorable MARTIN then you're pretty much admitting that his lyrics are as god-awful-obvious as hers. This thread should be pinned.
January 14, 201016 yr She didn't steal the lyrics  That combination of words is pretty simple..."opened up my eyes" is an expression we use every day, and generally when someone "opens their eyes", they realize something. Soooo....yeah.
January 15, 201016 yr Author it's just to fight back all those people that say coldplay are stealers! and I don't like ms swift:rolleyes:
January 15, 201016 yr I don't thinks she stole them. I agree with VivaNewYork, its hard to find original songs now a days.
January 16, 201016 yr I don't think she copied, it was probably just a coincidence...i noticed in another song of hers she sings "everytime you shine, i'll shine for you" but like I said it's probably a coincidence
January 16, 201016 yr I don't think she copied, it was probably just a coincidence...i noticed in another song of hers she sings "everytime you shine, i'll shine for you" but like I said it's probably a coincidence  OMG OMG I also once heard a song where they used the word "love" and another one where they used the word "you". Probably just a coincidence tho hahahaha :rolleyes::rolleyes: Some people are just retarded.
January 16, 201016 yr Author Wow strikie you are a complete dumbass. ty for your opinion... coincidence' date=' or just stealing?[/quote'] :deal2:
January 16, 201016 yr Come on! We're turning into Hipocrites! So many people sue Coldplay for stealing their songs! Now we're accusing other artists for stealing Coldplay's songs when they're not. That lyric has been used various times, I even wrote a song with it in it!
