Except, I'm singling out Sleeping Sun today as nearly perfect. Just really discovered it a few weeks ago. To me a "perfect" song immediately grabs attention, has lyrics that one can remember, a definite beginning, middle, and end. To me that is The Scientist. It's one of my favorite Coldplay songs, and on some days it is my favorite song, but the reason that I think it's a good candidate for "perfect" has nothing to do with how much I love it. Okay, probably a bit, but I just think it's extremely musically balanced. It has some great chords, some beautiful juxtaposition of melody and lyrics, and a great vocal presentation by Chris.
