It's so sad about Nelson Mandela's great-grandchild

Yes, it is very sad. That man has been through so much. He is absolutely brilliant and MAGNIFICENT. He has my deepest sympathy. May his late 13-year-old great-granddaughter rest in peace. :fingers crossed:

Yes I think everyone admires a lot Mandela.

In order to Mexico's result, I wish the game ends tied.

Actually technically he is but not playing, he was at the concert thing the night before.

Vieira? Great player, great guy, I miss seing him as captain.

man, I finally get to a working computer. Exciting draw for SA, amazing shot too. I didn't know but they said the host nation has never lost an opening match. I didn't get a good look at the reversed mexico goal but the commentator was livid so I figured they were robbed at the time, but considered it fair when SA was denied a PK later on.

The current match has been disappointing so far. Right off the back, players lack confidence in their abilities and start diving and embellishing all over the place. France is lackluster as ever while Uruguay's a bit desperate to get lucky with a longball. I definitely overanticipated the amount of goals to see. I heard France hasn't scored a goal in game 1 for the last several world cup's.

Gourcuff is such an asshole, what the heck is he doing there? He should be trying out for modeling instead.

LODEIROO PUTO!!! COMO VAS A METER LA PATA ASI?? AHORA QUEDAMOS CON 10, FUCK!!

Pls hold on Uruguay

sorry, no doubt you're gonna take a point from it anyway. This shouldn't be a free kick.

It finished at last!! I have to admit that I suffered a lot!!

So 0-0 is final score!

Yeah, absolutely no faith in France making the 2nd round, I'm even reconsidering my prediction of them beating South Africa.

2 boring games. Can't wait for tomorrow. 3 of my favorite teams will play (USA, ARG, ENG)

Tomorrow's match will demand a new spelling of epic. Never been this excited about a soccer match, which means a lot. I've been rearranging the US starting lineup on post-its at work and watching corny ussoccer.com segments about Hahnemann flying toy planes and Dempsey coming up empty on fishing trips.

It was boring, I hope Uruguay does better against South Africa next Wednesday!

What is somewhat interesting is how a four way tie in this group brings the amount of goals scored into question. If someone loses next week, they'll need more than a win in the last round to stay in contention.

South Africa v Mexico was a great spectacle I thought but your right in that Uruguay v France had a lot to be desired for mainly thanks to the very unambitious France coach Domenech. Okay there have been better games but the magnificent occasion and setting made for one of the best atmpospheres I have seen in any football tournament. But tomorrow should be really interesting. Oh and the standard of the refereeing so far has been 10/10. Fantastic. The referees were not the attention seeking, camera catching ****s a lot of them are.
