What a surprise! Great result for the americans.

Might I introduce you to Twenty 20 cricket :wink3:

What's that?

ahhhhhhh ignore him. Cricket makes baseball look exciting. Hell it makes paint drying look exciting! :P

Disappointing match for Englnd fans. Rooney will need to step it up if England's going to make a deep run in this tournament.

As for the US...can't complain about the result, but I'll never be happy when all we get is a tie. If we expect to ever win a World Cup we need to start winning against powerhouses like England.

Okay, so shit start for the U.S., particularly our back line with Demerit and Onyewu. Throughout the first half they were lax, inattentive and negligent. The U.S. offense however did pretty well, Donovan produced some great crossing chances. For awhile it seemed like a role reversal, with England counter-attacking, and the U.S. unsure what to do with the ball.

But aside from that unlucky Altidore chance later on our offense never had enough support and was very clumsy as a result. Tim Howard is a God and our defense did well to clear away crosses, but England did very poorly with the many chances they had. Very tentative start for the U.S., I predicted the draw, but it was anything but impressive.

Oh my God, that's a horror show from England goalkeeper Rob Green

This is boring. I can't watch a sport with next to no scoring.

And I just can't watch sport with commercials every 30 seconds...

Altidore had a great opportunity, but Green made a nice save.

But it's the only thing the English are good at, at the moment :P

Demerit and Onyewu did better than I expected. Rooney was shut down for the most of the match.

Not true, you're rather good at producing fumbling keepers. :P

Actually, I see a great deal of similarity between soccer and commercials...boring and no scoring. I consider them both a waste of my time.

run off and watch the NBA then, no one cares...

Oh, I will...the NBA Finals rock!

Did you know I'm a psychic? I can see the future!

Let me look at my crystal ball... I see LA Lakers winning the NBA!

And just correcting, it's not soccer, it's FOOTBALL! And that thing you americans call "football" is "American Rugby".

Demerit and Onyewu did better than I expected. Rooney was shut down for the most of the match.

I agree. The first goal was entirely the defense's fault but they did a great job shutting down one of the world's top strikers.

Fuck off then.

At this point, either Boston or Los Angeles have an equal shot at winning.
