Good on Dirk Kuyt - one of my favourite players. Fellow Liverpool fans think he's useless, not me. When deployed correctly (which he was rarely by Rafa Benitez) he does a fine job. And a really really nice guy as well. If only more footballers can be like Kuyt.

I saw that newspaper cover on espn. I lol'd, but its not a particularly big newspaper and no less ridiculous than some of the british headlines trashing Robert Green. U.S. commentators were joking that 'US wins 1-1' after the game, but the humor is lost on most people (mark).

I won't deny Benitez made a horrendous amount of errors last season, like sticking with players who were obviously shot of confidence and playing horrific football. He became too distracted by board wranglings and it obviously affected his ability to manage.
