Italy did well in the second half. Once they moved to a 4-4-2 formation the structure of the Paraguay team melted quicker than an ice cream sundae in the Sahara desert! Any longer and the Italians would have won that.

I also agree. So far Germany and Italy have given the impression of being able to go far in this tournament.

 

I still cannot forget the WAY in which Denmark lost to the Netherlands - by one own goal at the beginning of the second half and later by a Danish blunder! :\ But c'est la vie.

That was pretty embarrassing for Denmark. :confused:

It was such a pity, because in the first half the Danish players were able to "control" the Dutch strikers, and Denmark also had a few dangerous goal attempts - more than the Dutch team - in the first half. Then the Danish players went to tea pleased with themselves that the Dutch strikers were "in control" - and then after less than 45 seconds - an own goal. The strategy agreed upon had to be abandoned. And the second goal did not look too good.

 

As a Dane, at first I did not know whether to cry or laugh! Well I prefer to look at the bright (or funny) side. After all: C'est la vie.

Well, the Dutch team did not impress me. But after the Danish own goal got them started, the Dutch team were able to show some good passes. And the Dutch team had some good shots, but didn't score.

Did you actually watch Italy vs. Paraguay? If you had, you'd have seen how much Italy stinks.

They had a horrible first half, but had a decent second half. Despite their second half performance, I also seriously doubt they can make it past the round of 16. They'll play either Brazil or Portugal...who will destroy them.

Pretty awesome the whole selection they have as soon as they walk into the locker room. I also laughed at how Messi's jersey is the smallest...how cute hahaha. Looks like they've got about 2-3 pairs of cleats per player :shocked2:
