Germany - Australia 2-0 after 45 minutes due to goals scored by Podolski and Klose

I love Miranda Kerr and all but that was horrible from the Aussies. I feel bad for the Aussie fans who went all the way there to watch this.

Ozil almost almoooooooooost made it twice :bomb:

Don't be too harsh, this is a very good German performance so far

Agreed, and you might be right about your guess at 3-0 win for Germany, Ian. :)

Sending offs in all of the day's matches. That was harsh on Cahill.

Schwarzer is getting bombarded.

That red card was a disgrace! The referee himself should be red-carded for that!:dozey:

What is it with dodgy decisions against the Aussies?

Finally - a match with more than a total of 2 goals !

in australia thats a free kick the other way for being a soft arse.

can cahill appeal the decision? the bastard looked italian (refer to incident in 06 cup)

Apparently he's got a reputation for red-carding people.:dozey:

Not commented on here since before last nights match but I'm watching Germany v Australia and I have to say Australia look an awful awful side. Verbeek isn't a good manager and they are really suffering out there against a German side who are finding it a walk in the park almost literally. Important for Germany not to peak too soon though. Obviously the Aussies aren't helped by an utter slime ball of a referee who's clearly decided who he wants to win this match. Has a known reputation in his country for playing to the cameras and sending people off. Attention seeking little shit.

About last nights match - 1-1, wasn't a great performance by England. Well done to the USA in keeping Rooney quiet but only 4 players turned up for England last night - Lennon, Heskey Gerrard and Terry. I thought Rooney was really poor last night by his standards and Lampard as well who gave the ball away far too many times. And as for Wright Phillips and Cole down the left - well let's just not go there. Capello will be inclined to start Joe Cole on the left on Friday. And about Ashley Cole - is it me or is it one of the biggest myths in the world when they say he's one of the best left backs in the world. He was his slimey shitty version of the self. Still it must be hard to peform when 0% of the country likes you.

Aww poor aussies. How the hell does Germany always manage to peform flawlessly? I guess it's their steel mind because this time they only have 2 stars and it's a really young team.

They are actually my favs ( of course not taking into account Mexico) after Brazil, Spain and England

Btw this referee is mexican and he tends to be an attention-whore sometimes.

And I say sometimes because the others he's like an asshole actor. I mean he's good and all but he likes to get attention. The best mexican referee is by far Archundia.

I don't think Cole didn't anything wrong defensively. It's just that he didn't get forward as much as usual.

As for Lennon and Wright-Phillips, their crossing was very poor. Heskey had a good game apart from the chance he fluffed. Gerrard got the goal.

The rest were pretty disappointing.

Milner was awful and "sicknote" King didn't last very long. Same old story.:(

I'm a bit baffled ... didn't expect this young team to play that good.

And Thomas Müller is my man of the match.
