@Editor42: Heb ik niet gezien... :o

@hillman: Lucky lucky lucky! So close! Very nice quality vids!

When I said Belgian media tore Coldplay apart (Humo said "99 problems but a bitch ain't one", right before the show, was the best part of the show. :s It was pretty awesome though :p) I forgot about De Morgen, which is and has always been a Coldplay-loving journal. I agree very much with everything they say, apart from ETIAW being a good set closer :p

For those who understand some Dutch, + includes some pictures of the band (I mean Chris):

"Not bad for a band that asks little more money per gig than an average football player or a second-class actor."

The Humo's reviews of ANY artist were f*cking terrible !

really , they say the opposite of the truth !

De Morgen is alright , altough White Lies only got 2 stars , they deserved 4 ! :)

And they didn't even write about Beady Eye

White Lies weren't that good imo. *ducks*

And really, never believe what Humo says. The reporter apparently doesn't like Coldplay at all, and instead of reviewing the concert, he probably wrote the article in advance. Humo can be very predictable: Selah Sue and Triggerfinger (I've seen Triggerfinger and they were in fact really great, I haven't seen Selah Sue) both had 4/4, and I think that was meant to be. It's Humo's job to promote (read: hype in an exaggerated way) these Belgian artists and never say one bad word about them.

Got home from the festival yesterday.

Coldplay was awesome as always. We waited for almost 5 hours to see them and and had to survive the terrible sounds of PJ Harvey and Portishead (which idiot scheduled those two hippy bands on the Mainstage before Coldplay? My god, what a fail) but it was all worth it. Was so happy to finally witness them playing Shiver and Everything's Not Lost live. And it's true, ETIAW is live like the new Viva La Vida. I'm still speechless because it was that good.

Here are some of my pictures of the gig:

I must say , I'm was a bit dissapointed that they didn't play :

-Lovers in Japan

-Life in techincolor

-Strawberry Swing

-Talk

-Speed Of Sound

-The Hardest Part

I would've loved to hear those

^Yeah, especially Strawberry Swing.

But, still a great setlist.

that's the problem with festivals. They don't play as long as they want to. I think in the future, stadium show will be 2 hours or more long, so that they can play more hits in combination with new songs.

They should and probably will play for longer on their own tour but Coldplay will most probably never play a two hour show. The whole layout and structure of their show makes sure that they dont stretch the show too long and everything flows.

I think that at some point they really have to. They'll always want to play songs of their last album and play the classics. There are like 10 classics now. Some songs can't even be cut (Yellow, Clocks, The Scientist,...)

I can see them cut a song like Clocks or The Scientist. After all, they rarely played Trouble on the two previous tours.

But I doubt we'll see much X&Y or VLV album cuts make the setlist in the future. I was actually surprised they played Cemeteries Of London on this tour. Didn't expect that. Wonder if it'll stick around in the setlist.

I do believe they'll scrap every song from X&Y except Fix You. And Trouble was never the classic that Clocks was. I don't think they'll ever get away with scrapping The Scientist or Clocks (although I wouldn't mind if they'd scrap Yellow :P )

Noooooooooo! They shouldn't scrap Yellow! That's like, their signature song!:P

Outside of the UK, Trouble was the biggest Parachutes hit, so I never understood why they scrapped it. Although I do understand that having Trouble and The Scientist and Fix You in the setlist would be overkill. Same goes for having Talk, Speed Of Sound and Clocks all in the set I think.
