i hope they do something more.... aggressive, or violent or darker.

There stuff is always so soft.

It'd be cool to here something more experimental or with more of a bite to it.

Even if these news songs are good, which I hope in all kindness they are, the titles are still pretty bad.

I'm undecided. Lovers In Japan is an amazing song, so is Death And All His Friends, both of which I thought sounded like pretty odd titles.

That being said, I can't help harking back to the the days of the raw, emotive distinctly Coldplay titles. Songs like, "Trouble", "Everything's Not Lost", "Don't Panic", "Warning Sign" etc. I can't helping feeling (as they did with Viva) that they are making a concious effort to steer away from old habits with all of these abstract, poetic, vibrant, conceptual - or however you want to describe them - titles.

That being said, music is what counts. Viva was amazing and I have complete faith.

I don't understand all the 'Lovers in Japan sounded horrible at first' comments.

Lovers in Japan always sounded lovely to me... Lol

It's not that it sounded bad initially. Just really.. random. I felt the same way about the album title, lol.

Haha ok well I did think vlv was a random title :P so I see where you're coming from now. When my cousin told me they had a song called viva la vida, I was confused and I asked if they would sing in spanish . Now I remember saying that it was so weird. Can't wait to hear the songs and see how they change my view on them :D

I hope the songs aren't as shitty as the titles.

Well, the track names for VLV seemed awesome to me and turned out to sound shit for me.

So maybe, if the titles sound shit maybe the songs are decent.

Haha! :wacky:

I bought VLV a year after it came out, so I never had to worry about speculating based on the titles.
