VLV definitely his best BIG record he's produced in a long time. People will say 'what about All That You Can't Leave Behind by U2?' but personally I find that album underwhelming bar a few songs.

Has anyone else see the posts that Coldplay Glastonbury 2011 is going to open in theaters Friday June 27?

I don't need Wiki. I'm as big a fan of his work as anything particularly with U2. At least 3 great albums by U2 alone. The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree and of course Achtung Baby. Remain In Light by Talking Heads is absolutely massive. And who can forget his immense influence on David Bowie's records?

 

edit: oh and Millionaires by James ain't a half bad effort either personally.

 

They were co-produced. And U2 has much better albums w/o Eno - Boy and War.

WHAT? How have I lost the point? This isn't about those albums and I think I've been a Coldplay fan long (10 years) enough to know Eno didn't produce those albums. And Boy and War are not as good as TUF, Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby. They're impressive but they are nothing compared to the albums I mentioned and U2 would still not be around today without Eno's groundbreaking work with them.

 

Oh and guess what VLV was co produced as well so you've just destroyed your own argument.

Those last lyrics are straight out of the Definitely Maybe songwriting book. I LOVE them! They seem inspired by youth culture.

It really does, I thought that those letters were actually new lyrics until I read what they meant :P

I'm really liking the lyrics, they seem poppy at first but if you go deeper in it's truly Coldplay!:D
