February 14, 201115 yr Author hey Carrie, so radiohead conviced you ? :worried: after the new of today, im considering to give another try to them :worried:Well, it seems that some people are more partial to half of their stuff, and other people to the other half. Right now the only album I have is In Rainbows, but I'm going to get most of their other albums this week for my birthday (I think). I'm not sure what type of songs you would like... I think 'House of Cards' is pretty, that's on In Rainbows. I think 'High and Dry' is a good song too, it is relatively "accessible" for the beginning listener (that song is on The Bends). You could probably just search on YouTube and listen to those songs there. I'll let you know what I think of their LPs The Bends and OK Computer once I get them; there seems to be a general concensus that those are great albums. Chris Martin has said numerous times that Radiohead was a huge influence on Coldplay, so... :nice:

February 14, 201115 yr Author Chris Martin: "Sometimes I feel like they [Radiohead] cleared a path with a machete, and we came afterward and put up a strip mall. I would still give my left [testicle] to write anything as good as OK Computer.”
February 14, 201115 yr  that quote! Idk, I started with Karma Police, Let Down and No Surprises and then went for the whole OK Computer. Worked fine for me.

I would still give my left [testicle] to write anything as good as OK Computer.” I always respected how Chris Martin and people like Guy Garvey from Elbow were honest in admitting that they were influenced by Radiohead. I remember when Muse used to flip flop on the whole Radiohead issue back in the days. They almost seemed ashamed of admitting it for some reason. They seem to be slightly mature about it now. Like in this interview where Muse's bassist mentions Radiohead being an influence to Muse: you guys have probably already seen this funny little video, but I just now watched it and oh my :drunk: http://www.youtube.com/user/radiohead#p/a/f/2/A7MkQJuaOrc Se7en is one of my favorite movies so that just made it even better I wonder if they picked that movie because In Rainbows=Radiohead's 7th album

February 16, 201115 yr Go fuck yourselves OKC is the best record evah. Beatles suck except for Sgts. and Abbey Road. Joshua Tree >>>>>>>>>>>>> Achtung Baby. AROBTTH is the best coldplay record by far. Then VLV, then Prachutes and finally X&Y. Muse rocks. Play histeria on your electric and you'll have a blast. Sigur Rós music is the one angels listen to. Don't mess with it unless you wanna mess with angles, be warned that then nobody is gonna protect you when a massive anvil strikes you from the sky. Respect people's tastes, however, in order to have a good taste you must actually know and try different stuff to get a valid opinion in whatever the topic is. And as a final sidenote it took me a looong time to become a radiohead fan, I always liked karma police and creep but one day i put my headphones and really got into karma police and house of cards and then my favourite band transition begun. Other than that stop mocking people for their music tastes unless you listen to Beethoven or Elgar. HOLY FUCK I WAS GOING TO TAKE A NAP AND THEN I FOUND THIS AND I ALMOST CRIED Awesome. mmm bb :uhoh: I'm gonna dance like this next time. I'll sure be a hit.
February 18, 201115 yr edit: This thread would've reached the most ridiculous point if Yossi suddenly came to post. I literally laughed out loud. You're awesome Alex.
February 18, 201115 yr I think Radiohead is a pretty cool guy, he destroys the music industry and doesn't afraid of anything. Been waiting four years for this! xx
January 17, 201214 yr Author It has officially been one year. Thank you to everyone here who helped steer me down the righteous path that is Radiohead.
January 17, 201214 yr :awesome: And hopefully in a year from now you will have seen like like 5 times too! :D

February 2, 201313 yr I don't like that Thom Yorke doesn't articulate when he sings  In most songs, I hear: "mmeeeeEEEEEEHHHHjjgggamhgfkjlfahfkahAhgdaaahjgjkyuuuuuheeeeeEeeeeeeooooooOOOOooooOOoooh" :| I do enjoy Creep (i don't care if we're not supposed to  ), No surprises, High & dry, Let Down, and There, There very much.
