alejolo
No, its the 4th. 1st is 21 by Adele, 2nd Lady Gaga and 3rd Michael Buble. It's the 6th actually. Rihanna and Bruno Mars are ahead of them
The Red Army
"In Comparison With Viva's Sales at the same stage [after 10 weeks - UK]: Viva La Vida 841,525 Mylo Xyloto 907,648 It took Viva 26 Weeks to reach a million, i think it will take Mylo another 4 weeks to reach a million. As of 30th October 2011 Viva had sold 1,381,309, i think MX has a great chance of outselling that by the end of 2012." Source: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=81511&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=1550 Also, MX has now sold, so far, 907 000 in the UK and 950 000 in the US. busybeeburns
US charts: Adele's 21 back at one, Coldplay, Florence in Top 10 Adele leads an excellent week for British talent on the Billboard 200 as she climbs back to number one and Florence + The Machine and Coldplay return to the Top 10. Her second album, which Nielsen SoundScan announced this week to no great surprise was 2011’s biggest seller with 5.8 million Stateside sales, progresses a place to spend a 14th non-consecutive week at number one. It sold another 144,000 copies last week, a 64% drop on the week, and this is the sixth time the album has now returned to the top, itself a record. In what amounts to a New Year clear-out with seasonal records either plummeting down the chart or disappearing altogether plus only a handful of new entries, a number of albums take advantage by reclimbing. Several of these are by UK acts, including Florence + The Machine and Coldplay who are both now back in the Top 10. Although its sales are 25% down on the week to 47,000, Florence’s Ceremonials lifts 20-6 to register in the Top 10 for the first time since it debuted at six in mid-November, while first album Lungs climbs 81-59. Ceremonials’ progress was helped by it being part of an iTunes campaign which discounted it to $6.99 with the same campaign also helping Lady Antebellum’s Own The Night rise 6-4 on the back of 54,000 sales. Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto is in the Top 10 again after a four-week absence as it climbs 12-8, despite sales dropping 48% to 44,000, while Adele just misses out on having two albums in the 10 as 19 improves 17-11 with 35,000 sales. This is 50% down on the week, but its download sales are up 225%, aided by it also being part of the iTunes $6.99 offer. http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=1048017&c=
alejolo
Their albums were released in 2010. Counting only 2011's albums, MX is on forth place. That dosnt take the fact that MX was the 6th best selling album of 2011 and not the 4th lol

The Red Army
Probably going to end around 5-6 million WW sales in total. VLV sold 8 mill WW, doubt this will beat that, though MX will prolly beat VLV in total sales in the UK.
Revolverwin
Probably going to end around 5-6 million WW sales in total. VLV sold 8 mill WW, doubt this will beat that, though MX will prolly beat VLV in total sales in the UK. more likely, but no one knows. The sales are quite dependent on the band's promotion and tours so it's really up to them. MX is doing great anyway considering the fact that bands are not given their much deserved recognition nowadays or whatever.
Cheese Nip 2
Also, MX has now sold, so far, 907 000 in the UK and 950 000 in the US. :stunned: More sales in the U.S! As an american I am truly stunned. I always thought I was a member of some "British rock music" cult.:laugh3: Now I see I am not alone....Yay!:D

The Red Army
Viva only sold 8 million worldwide? :inquisitive: I could've sworn it was more than that . . . I read it online a week-ish ago, I'll try to find the source and post it here. I know it sold 6.8 million WW by the end of 2008, so 8 million WW in total makes sense, but I'll look for that link. Dan Medina
I read it online a week-ish ago, I'll try to find the source and post it here. I know it sold 6.8 million WW by the end of 2008, so 8 million WW in total makes sense, but I'll look for that link. 6.600.000 in 2008 (Best Seller Album of the Year) 1.500.000 in 2008 (#31) ___ 8.100.000 + 200.000 in non-counted countries (South American/Some Asian) = 8.300.000 and if we consider 2010+2011 world's sells, we can estimate something like 300.000. So Viva may be in 8.600.000 copies. http://www.mediatraffic.de/previous2.htm
Odvan
Well how in this case boys sold over 50 million before MX? VLV must have sold more than 10 millions.
ColdplayingfromKansas
^ That's what I was thinking. Parachutes sold less than 10 mil, ARoBttH sold somewhere around 12-13 mil, and X&Y was 11 mil? I don't think they could have reached 50 million in 4 albums if Viva sold less than 10 million
Coeurli
^ But the 50 millions are only the albums or overall, with the singles ? Cause if it's overall that would explain it :uhoh:
ColdplayingfromKansas
^ I was under the impression that it only counted the album sales
Coeurli
^I just put "Coldplay 50 million sales" on Google just to see what comes up, and most of the websites/articles/whatever say "records", but some say "albums"...:uhoh: So maybe you're right, maybe it's only the albums  And by now Viva has probably sold around or a bit more than 10 million copies
ColdplayingfromKansas
^ By now, probably so  I still thought it had sold more than that though
ColdplayFanatic16
im pretty sure Viva sold more than 10!!! Coldplay has a record of always selling more than the previous album in the number of albums sold.
Dan Medina
The count singles sales to say Coldplay have reached 50 million. Viva is not on 10 million yet.
Odvan
Well, according to Steve Jobs boys sold 50 millions albums, not singles. [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYxXzhtC_tw[/ame]
