April 19, 201115 yr Haha, but the two bonus tracks for free? Come on man, just cos I bought the newspaper version online and you walked (or I dunno) to a store doesn't mean you get 2 bonus tracks and a golden star on your forehead and I don't.
April 20, 201115 yr Haha, but the two bonus tracks for free? Come on man, just cos I bought the newspaper version online and you walked (or I dunno) to a store doesn't mean you get 2 bonus tracks and a golden star on your forehead and I don't. But can't we live in a world where we ALL get bonus tracks and gold stars on our foreheads!?! A man can dream...
April 20, 201115 yr Anyway, i just checked my email inbox and got this lovely radiohead surprise =') . Gotta love them.
April 20, 201115 yr But can't we live in a world where we ALL get bonus tracks and gold stars on our foreheads!?! A man can dream... You know, it really doesn't matter. Just download the tracks, or get someone to send them to you.
April 20, 201115 yr I like them but they're not amazing. The Butcher is probably my favourite though. Reminds me of Where I End And You Begin...
April 20, 201115 yr On that topic I'd have to go with everyone else. I mean the Newspaper album was very expensive. It was just like when the In Rainbows boxset came out. I shelled out $80 for that, but they gave a bonus cd of 8 songs though. I think it's great of them to make the song available for a free download for those that bought the newspaper album. Just because you bought the regular vinyl doesn't mean they'll never make the tracks available. I mean they made the In Rainbows CD 2 available like 1-2 years after it was released to download. Also I can't stop listening to The Butcher :|
April 20, 201115 yr Also I can't stop listening to The Butcher :| I know, right?!? I felt as though my inital gut reaction that I posted of "wtf it should have been on TKOL" was vindicated when they admitted that they originally planned for it to go on TKOL, but they just couldn't 'make it work'. edit: For the first half of TKOL, a nice flow instead of 1. Bloom 2. Morning Mr Magpie 3. Little By Little 4. Feral (sh)could have been 1. Bloom 2. Little By Little 3. The Butcher 4. Feral Just sayin'.
April 20, 201115 yr hmm i'll have to try that. honestly The Butcher is my favorite new songs of theirs since Twisted Words. I've listened to The Butcher more times these past few days than Lotus Flower (my favorite song off the new album) since the album was released

April 21, 201115 yr I dunno why, but I used to like it a lot and then, wat, doesn't make me feel anything. Funny thing is that now I love Feral.
April 21, 201115 yr Give Up The Ghost is such a calming song. I actually love this album - at some points it is disjointed, but as a whole I appreciate it! supercollider and the butcher are great as a stand alone too
April 21, 201115 yr I dunno why, but I used to like it a lot and then, wat, doesn't make me feel anything. Funny thing is that now I love Feral. It's funny you mention that because I'm the same way. Initially The songs I loved were Give Up the Ghost and Codex, and I didn't like Little By Little or Feral at all... now it's the opposite. I mean I still really like Codex... beautiful song, but no where near how I used to. Give Up The Ghost is such a calming song. I actually love this album - at some points it is disjointed, but as a whole I appreciate it! supercollider and the butcher are great as a stand alone too It is a calming song, but honestly I kind of get a little bored of it after a while. I was listening to the album yesterday for the first time in like 2 weeks and I do definitely enjoy it. I am though obsessed with The Butcher... it's so good! I love Codex right now.. btw, first post here, pretty new fan Welcome! :nice: edit: also just found out that if you guys want you can now upgrade to the full newspaper album... read it off some twitter
April 21, 201115 yr Oh sorry Shane, I forgot you're supreme. obviously Anyways, I used to dislike Give Up the Ghost, but now it's my second favourite on the album....and Codex really has grown on me too. The only song I can't get into is Feral.
