  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Sorry briggs if you're insulted, and sorry gloaming if you're embarrassed...I was just saying

haha!!!

well that's a true honor i guess... or perhaps that's really just saying that i'm the biggest radiohead geek... I do feel quite geeky at times... :P

But seriously I don't think I'm THE Radiohead fan, I think a lot of people are pretty big fans of Radiohead (Briggins, yellowy eyes, eglantine, ricardo, and many others)

I post so much here for Radiohead because when it comes to mortgi-tempo or atease I feel like a creep... like "What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here"... this place is more friendly and homey

I don't know, to me anyway you are THE fan. You post so much more than those others you listed (at least you post here more), and you seem to be wanting nothing more than to talk Radiohead and spread the band's music around rather than bagging on people who don't like them

well thanks! that's all I try to do, is spread their music because I remember how excited and how great it was to get into them. I hope that other people can share the same excitement that I do.

If people don't like a band that's fine, we're all human and like our own tastes. What I can't take is when people start insulting others over the music they listen to *cough*howyousawtheworld*cough*. Also I know that I didn't like the band at first, and it took quite sometime to get into them.

Same here. It bugs me when people fight over band tastes. I like Coldplay and Radiohead, what's the big deal?

It is good that you want to spread the music around and give people a positive taste of Radiohead, rather than making them feel like they're stupid if they don't like it.

I agree with the_gloaming; this place has a friendly, homey feel. I was afraid of interacting with band 'fandoms' because everything seemed like a competition or a snobfest, but you guys are really nice. I like all of yooou :D

exactly.

To be quite honest, none of my friends really like radiohead too much. they think they're okay. I like talking with all of you because I feel that we're all in a similar boat in that we all love the band. I don't get the same feeling from mortgi-tempo or atease as i do here, so i spend more of my time in the WOM.

Yeah, and unfortunately it seems like some of the snobs that weren't good enough go other places and pick on non-fans just to be dicks.

I think the reason we have so many nice radiohead fans around here is because the environment is so much more friendly and inviting than most other forums like say, atease...

atease is nice & friendly as long as you keep your posts 0!

It works with me, I've been there for a year now & I haven't got eaten up yet, just PMs about viagra!

I have a fake account at atease. :P

i never thought of that julie, hmmmmmm igood idea. have not been able to participate in radiohead week and feel bad. family issues, will try to jump back in

I wanted to post something about this topic. Now I don't have to write a huge post, so thanks. :D

I am happy because people in this thread are friendly and won't attack someone only because of the music they like. I heard about some fans that will immediately say someone is stupid only because they don't like Radiohead. Different people, different music that they like. For example I didn't like Radiohead in January, but I started liking them in February, so would you call me stupid in January and then all of a sudden I'm really smart a month later... yeah, doesn't make much sense.

I was thinking of joining atease, but I don't know if I will. To be honest I'm a bit afraid.

I love Radiohead. I wish I had my cd player with me so I could listen to Amnesiac before going to sleep.
