How do you keep your cds?

Featured Replies

I have mine on a rack but now that i bought a single and a cd thats not a jewel case how do i keep it?

I have them on a case ! Like a treasure :D

I have three main CD racks, but have two small racks where I store some cardsleeves. Rarer cardsleeves go into aluminum CD cases paired with slimline cases. Tall digipaks get stacked or shelved between book ends.

I have a couple CD booklets. The cases I put in my CD TOWER

I put thumb tacks on the wall and display them that way since my dad won't buy Me shelves -_-

To truly keep CD's fresh and new, it's best to hermetically seal them and pop them in the freezer. They keep best at -25C, may last for 10's of 1000's of years if you keep the freezer plugged in.

:P

On a shelf next to my dvds.

I have the feeling that in the not too distant future, somebody answering this thread will go: "Cds? Are those things still around?"

For those of you wondering where the Coldplay is, my spare X&Y's there, Parachutes is in my sister's room, and Viva La Vida and Rush of Blood are both in my mum's car. I didn't want to stick up my favourite CDs in case I couldn't get them down.

Most of my CD's I keep out of the cases, strewn about my car (I buy all my music from iTunes/Amazon, so they're all burned)

EXCEPT Coldplay. I have a gigantic Coldplay collection (I'm the proud new owner of the "What If" EP!). Those I keep in their own box, everything wrapped in original packaging :awesome:

When LP5 comes out, I plan on buying on iTunes at midnight, 2 physical CD's and 2 LP records (so that I can keep wrapped ones but still use some copies in my record player)

When it comes to Coldplay, I spare no expense. I know, I'm a chump :\

No seriously, I'm gonna do the same. I'm a big Muse fan, as well Radiohead, and I've spent £60 and £30 on their last respective albums. Coldplay though I'm prepared to spend even more - I have every B-side, a few demos, every live thing, each album, and I got the ETIAW bundle of vinyl, print and CD.

If anyone calls you sad, just remind them how much it'll be worth one day!
