Home, home where I wanted to go :D

Without you it's a waste of time

or perhaps

How good is it to live, with nothing left to give?

Yeah, I'm feeling pretty shit.

I know I'm dead on the surface, but I am screaming underneath....

that was a cheery first-post-in-ages post :laugh3:

"Look at the stars"

I've just spent nearly four months in the Maldives, and during my time there, my husband and I visited one of his old friends on Addhoo island. One night we all went for a drive, following my husband's friend's directions. We ended up at the side of a lake (or was it a lagoon?) where we couldn't see much apart from trees and bushes and I was slightly under-whelmed. However, when I looked up at the dark sky, I saw a clear patch between the clouds. I honestly came out with the first line of Yellow: Look at the stars! I was completely blown away, because I've never in my whole life seen so many stars. It looked as though someone had thrown glitter into the air! I thought to myself that it must have been such a sight which inspired Chris to write the song, and I felt a great connection with him ( a little over-dramatic, I know!)

Swallowed in the Sea

I turn the music up, I got my records on

I shut the world outside until the lights come on

A simple plot, but I know one day, good things are coming our way.

Where do we go? nobody knows.

When I'm counting up my demons

Saw there was one for every day

With the good ones on my shoulder

I drove the other ones away

Postcards from far away
