LP6

Featured Replies

Omg. I just thought. I know it is weird but.

LP1,2,3,4 were released in the months June, July and August.

LP5 was released in October, there is a month between Aug and Oct.

A LP6 release for April would been that there is again a month between April and June.

Do you get my point, or do I become insane.

I think I get that. So your saying we could get the album in September or may?

Not right now, I think LP6 will still have a concept and big shows with gimmicks and costumes.... that's just the point they are right now. Maybe on a 7th album they could start a new period on their careers.

I do like the concepts and costumes by the way....

I agree with Prospector. If they just wore regular clothes with no painted guitars, they would be like any other band. This whole concept thing sets them apart and it is probably a whole more fun. Why not immerse yourself in the music you create? By that I mean, why not go the extra mile to create a concept, why not wear costumes? It's what separates them from others. That's what I think.

I don't believe you need to look Disney-friendly or have silly concepts and costumes to set yourself apart from any other band. they should let their music do the talking. plus i think they just wear costumes and have painted guitars etc to look cool. other than that it serves no function. I don't get what the point is

I don't think they do that to look cool. They are not cool, and so be it, I think Chris said that once.. I could be wrong

I think they wear costumes and paint their instruments for fun, not too be cool.

No one said that you need to look Disney-friendly to show that you're different. Although, thinking about it, I am curious to see them in Prince Charming costumes :awesome:

They said that wearing costumes is one more way for them to separate work from personal life. That's a good enough reason for me. And they also said that it's fun to make and to wear.

Even when a band doesn't wear a specific, made-up costume, I've often noticed that they still have a particular style and try to wear similar things to their shows. It's a matter of coherence too.

Anyway, nothing to do with being cool. If they really wanted to seem cool, they would have done something more consistent (like, not participating in X-factor or leaving EMI to create their own label: that's cool).

If they wanted to be cool but fail they would have started to dress like the new Arctic Monkeys, in fact, they now seem just four douchebags and not a band

^

It could be funny if the next costumes are super heroes costumes and each one has a different power. We could start speculating about what power each member would have.

^ that'd be hilarious!

But what powers would each one of them have??

I don't think four men in their mid-thirties care about looking cool.

Is it such a sin to wear costumes? The Beatles did it with Sgt. Pepper

Guy have the power to be handsome just standing with its bass.

Also they've always wear costumes since AROBTTH.

Viva was the most bombastic of all on costumes, X&Y and MX were pretty simple.

I think they have a great taste of clothes, they should wear their own clothes on stage for one tour.

Oh I've found Chris's power: he can always wear the wrong pair of shoes.

Nah, his would be the power to turn any shirt he wears into the same flowery shirt

That's not a power.

Long time no see, that :(

I'm sure we'll see it again before too long. ;)

Or he realised that we all knew about it so he stopped using it :(
