I think many people know this already, but I only saw this now:

http://www.20min.ch/videotv/?channel_id=8&video_id=14917

This is an interview from 2009 and they actually talk about the song Car Kids, at about 11 minutes left (timer counts down). They say it's about old people complaining about kids.

Maybe they changed the name to Charlie Brown though, since that could be about complaining people too, especially the "all the boys, all the girls" part.

But I hope Car Kids is a separate song. And I'd like it on the album, please. Thanks.

:D

Nice find, cant remember that 1.

I dont think "Car Kids" and "Charlie Brown" is the same Song because we had the 2 names in "60 Minutes" written on a wall.

We kinda know for sure now "Charlie Brown" is "Cartoon Hearts".

"Car Kids" will be different.

Ok, thanks for pointing that out. So it's likely we will hear Car Kids some time!

Maybe CK is the symbol for Car Kids, not only because it's CK, but also because it's a simple man figure. The way young Kids would draw a person.

And yeah, the umbrella... :laugh3:

Great find!!! Does anyone have a date for this interview, if it was written during VLV touring then it must be really old in comparison to Up In Flames. I hope it still makes the album!!!

to me, Under 1 Roof handdrawing like an illustration of Home [家 [jia] - reminds me of Chinese Character for Home as well as it is very illustrative]. The MX figure can be seen as a Roof image as well; or a dancing couple?? Seeing closely, if you use this MX cutboard to see anything [now, it is a background picture], then anything will be "tailored" within this figure - meaning if you have home/love image in you, then you look at the world through love or home-like thinking?

Later on, I checked Mylo Xyloto based on literal meaning. Mylo [Greek] = Molar [Doesn't M look like a tooth? http://www.merriam-webster.com/art/dict/tooth.htm]; tooth for granding, the last three [falling off earlier when you are old - irrelevant though]. Then Xyloto, Xyl = Wood [Greek] and Oto = Ear [Greek], Xyloto could mean Wood Ear? Mylo Xyloto could mean Tooth Wood Ear [kind of Fungus]?

AND

"The most important ecological relationships involving tooth fungi are the mycorrhizal ones they have with trees. Most of the species covered by this profile, with the exception of the earpick fungus, have a mycorrhizal association with Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). Some species, including the wood hedgehog, are also associated with broadleaved trees. In this symbiotic, mutually-beneficial relationship, the hyphae of the fungus wrap around the root hairs of a tree. In the exchange which takes place at the plant-fungus interface, the fungus obtains sugars which the tree produces by photosynthesis, while the tree gains nitrogen, phosphorus and potash which the fungus takes up from the soil."

AND

"Hericium erinaceus has been highly prized as an edible and medicinal fungus in China and Japan for centuries. In China, it is called houtou, which means monkey head mushroom, geographically appropriate for the indigenous Asian fauna. In Japan, it is known as yamabushi-take, which means the mushroom of the yamabushi, Japanese ascetics and priest-warriors who lived in the mountains. This name is likely a metaphor; the fungus is normally found growing as a single outgrowth in remote areas with old and dead wood, reminiscent of the solitary isolated yamabushi. The houtou was first domesticated at the Shanghai Agricultural Academy of Science in 1959 and has since spread globally. It is estimated that almost 10,000 metric tons were produced in 2001.

In traditional Asian medicine, the houtou or yamabushi-take was prescribed primarily for the treatment of stomach disorders. Trials conducted in China in the 1990's demonstrated that extracts of H. erinaceus reduced inflammation of the alimentary canal, lending credence to the practices of ancient fungal pharmacology. It is also used in China to increase the longevity of cancer patients. More recently, Japanese researchers patented the compound erinacines, which has been shown to stimulate the growth of neurons (known as Nerve Growth Stimulant Factor, or NGSF). This has inaugurated some interest in the use of the fungus in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, strokes and other debilitating conditions associated with nerve damage. There is also some indication that other active constituents of the fungus may enhance the response of the immune system; a study of the effects of an extract called PHE (polysaccharide of H. erinaceus) on mice revealed that there was an increase in the production of lymphocytes."

Maybe the last resource has more inspirations. It could lead many imaginations/connections.

Finally, now MX figure in the cover looks like a wood ear [fungus]. Too much rambling here. Could be non-sense or a fungus-hardwood relationship?

Wow, that's quite a research there! Thanks!
