The Suburbs is also 16 tracks. MBDTF is only 13, but does have a running time of nearly 70 minutes. As much as I agree short albums are good, long ones can be too if they're consistent. ApproximatelyInfinite Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 I think the long album vs. short album debate has more to do with total running time vs. number of tracks, when it comes down to it. Albums over 45 minutes, no matter how good, just feel long to me. As long as they're still good and consistent, of course that doesn't affect how much I love them (some of my favorites are 50 minutes plus), but when you're listening to them all the way through, it's definitely more of a commitment, and can feel more like a marathon. Reign of Love was needless, in fact I've taken it out of my VLV/PM master playlist and just replaced Lovers in Japan with the Osaka Sun Remix. 13 tracks please Coldplay. Have the MX live intro has an intro track, then the rest can be 12 songs. I wouldn't mind the odd secret track, but I'm calling there should only be two of them this time around at the most.
