Paradise Live

Featured Replies

I'll settle for Chris' pre-recorded vocals overlapping his own oooo's because it's energetic and full. Paradise is a hollow shell of a sound, you walk away from that song shrugging your shoulders.

This is great live! It brings out a good, loud cooperative sound from within the band.

Bravo, Coldplay!

it's sooooooooooooooo much better! You can hear Jonny's part a hell of a lot more, the drums sound amazing, but chris was so off key during it!

Chris' singing wasn't great during it, he has been suburb with his live vocals recently but he wasn't great on paradise.

I think it sounds better live, but I was never a Paradise hater to begin with.

Paradise live has thumbs up from me, simply because CM is strapped in and doesn't prance about like a moron ruining his vocals AKA ETIAW

Coldplay is mainstrem hm? Paradise ist super poppy hm? Now the piano - exactly as played as in studio version - is a bit louder and its coldplay again?

Well, this is... what is it? Hilarious? I don´t know.

As I said: People shout "MAINSTREAM" because of some aspects of that song... but now - seeing the live version - you look behind that idea of Paradise.

For me it´s still as good as Viva La Vida or something.

-Chris's singing wasn't the best the whole concert, but I know it can be better. The whole performance he sang a little "lazier" than he should have. Not really his fault since there are so many factors to this. I strongly believe things will sound better in future concerts.

-Jonny on the guitar right away...beautiful. Will and Guy sound brilliant too.

Way better than studio. Now I wish the live version WAS the studio version.

Paradise live was as epic as I thought it was gonna be, while offering a unique live feeling to it as well! I was taken aback by the power of Jonny´s riff in the end: superb! I loved it and can´t wait to see this live myself.

Yeah I feel what you are saying :) I always said the song was great, whether you like the synths/arrangement or not.

I loved it from the start and like it even better know i've heard it live!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I second that.

There are always pro and cons. I prefer the studio version cleary just because the synth action is clearer, the strings are clearer, the effects in the bridges and intro/outro are clearer and this make the song so interesting.

On the other side the piano is live better, but I still believe that the studio version is better.

I missed the stream concert! Anyone know if it'll be uploaded anywhere?

Also, I loved this live version it was incredible! I always liked Paradise, though, so I can't choose either one.

This poll misses one option : BOTH! I love both versions

The piano is more present and better LIVE but overall I prefer the studio.

I think that in the live version you realise even more how bad the "Para Para Paradise" bit is.

It takes too much time before it goes on if you know what I mean.

So yes, of course it's better live, but it can't "rescue" the song.

you're right, I've added it with an average vote count to begin :)

As much as I love the studio version, live was even much better!! And there's a lot of Jonny in it:)

it's still an boring song,no it's still crap.

I love both versions.

I'm a huge fan of the song (the minority I'm sure ;) ) when I first heard it. But the live version certainly made me love the song even more!

The true Coldplay fans and - I am pretty sure - great musicians themselfs!
