Mimixxx
^ I think the studio version has one of the best recordings of his voice. I agree  I just forced myself to listen to it again, still makes me cringe, BUT I was thinking throughout how amazing his voice is on the verses. Lore
The live version is even worst, so boring, I just saw it for the first time on the letterman show and well, I hated it.
nothingtoseehere
I agree  I just forced myself to listen to it again, still makes me cringe, BUT I was thinking throughout how amazing his voice is on the verses. Yeah that's true. His singing in the verse sounds so... fresh. Music-wise though, the instruments just sound better live...
Guest Osaka Sun
The live version is not much better... I ignored the past two shows. Has there been anything decent?
Connor!42!
ughhh.......i mean his singing in the live versions is getting better but i feel slightly embarrassed watching them perform this on tv shows like letterman because i know he can SOOOO much better. i just seems off in places. The instrumental is great though
ichbineincoldplayer
Wow. The live version really is so much better. It could still do without the oohs at the end, though.
Blue Glisten
Yes the live version is better. And the live of Major Minus is better than the studio version too!

toddbluezoo
I can't really choose one over the other at this point in time, but I like the piano & electric guitar more in the live version for sure. Jonny seems like he's really rocking out live, but don't really get that in the studio.
Destrokk
Wow there's actually a thread for it. Well YES.
Xinc
I love the piano in the live version. I could listen to the first 30 seconds, before the rest comes in and then I look forward to its return in the middle of song :) - but overall live is much better. Sounds more organic than synth even with its backing tracks.
STARSHINE
for me, studio version of any song is better.... Unless you're on the concert and hearing it live lol
mamgirl
After watching the Much Music Live in Toronto I really enjoyed that version of Paradise better than the studio recording. I don't think anything compares to the experience of hearing a Coldplay song live for sure. Most times I don't like the live recording better if I'm not watching it in person, but for this performance I did like it better than the studio version. basstialbo
a little better in live, but its the same song
