Yes people think when you are a professional footballer playing internationally for Croatia you are a spoilt boy who forgot where he came from, but I remember the fighting and the deaths of my Croatian friends and they all say "Stop kicking that ball around there is a war on", and I say "NO FRIENDS, because one day I will play for an independent Croatia", and now I do

is your hero Luka Modric

Stereotypes about Poland:

1) Everyone stole a car from Germany.

2) In Poland nobody works, only drinks vodka and emigrates to get money from other government.

3) We don't have electricity and all year it's -20 here.

4) Everybody wears traditional kits and pray all the time.

Now it's changing a bit but still sad... :/

Stereotypes about Germany:

1) Everybody is a nazi / we hate every foreigner in general

2) Everybody drinks beer all the time

3) All of the Germans wear the bavarian traditional costumes

Gypsies are everywhere, but a lot of them don't like being called gypsies. But some of them embrace it. I don't know how relevant that is, but I'm just going to leave that there.

I don't even know what to call people, what with all these gender neutral pronouns and terms for non-white people being thrown about nowadays.

I don't mind people calling me a hillbilly or redneck, but that's probably because I consider myself neither.

I try to be nice, yes, but that does not mean that everyone here is! It was how I was raised. :nice:

I'm not Norwegian!!! (I'm Irish, Dutch, and English)

I strongly dislike lufsa, lutefisk, etc.

And I have never said you betcha, for the record. Actually, no one says that, unless it's for a joke.

Country: USA

^ Oh my god

you're just

you

ah

you're so cute :wacky:

That's one of my favorite things about America

You ask a German where he's from, he says Germany

You ask an Australian where he's from, he says Australia

You ask an American, he says I'm American.

*pause*

But I'm one quarter French, one half Mexican, one-eights Argentinian, five-ninety-sixth Egyptian and one-fourty-eighth Native American, also my in-laws are one-fourth Chinese and I think my cat was smuggled here from Canada but I'm not quite sure

I'm from Minnesota, now I'm stuck in Ohio(I'm not too crazy about it here) and I find some Minnesotan stereotypes hilarious. Not everyone from there is nice(Case in point, me. LOL) I am part of the Norweigan background stereotype, but I also have a lot of German in my heritage. I HATE lutefisk too, but my Grandpa adores it. I have caught myself saying you betcha a few times(in a joking manner), but everyone thinks EVERYONE from Minnesota says it ALL THE TIME. Its funny! I do love Minnesota though, wish I could move back. :)
