2012 tour date rumours (please post dates for ALL countries in here)

^ Agreed but we knew it was coming :( I've just gotten used to seeing them up pretty close lol. We'll just have to see what happens.

Me, too. I feel so spoiled. But the big shows are fun, too, with all the lights, video screens, etc. It's just stadiums are so huge. I really like mid-sized shows.

They've been playing sold-out arenas here for a few tours now. It's time to let them step up to the ultimate highest stages.

This, of course, will do no favors for what were already expensive-as-hell tickets for arenas.

Lower level seats for U2 at Angel Stadium were $250 face value :(

They're a massive band who are the only one out there who can come even somewhere near U2. I don't like the tickets but considering the rate these arena gigs were sold out in I can expect the tickets to be expensive. That's the way the industry works nowadays, especially when a lot of the money bands make nowadays comes from live shows.

They are the hot live act of the moment, especially after their stunning festival sets and THAT Glastonbury display. They've never been so in demand so expect to pay the hefty prices. However they won't be as expensive as U2's gigs. Their ticket prices were set by an accumulation of 20 years of the most stunning, innovative and groundbreaking tours ever seen.

I know. I know because I paid for one of those. Great show, but UGH.

And I'd complain less about Coldplay's ticket prices if I couldn't see different bands in the exact same venues for half the cost.

I always see them in St. Louis and the tickets are usually only $30. In KC they are about the same too. Where the hell are you guys getting these expensive-as-hell tickets?

LA. Anything better than a nosebleed was $125 with fees. Nosebleeds were still like $90.

Corkus and I are in the LA/Orange County area. My husband and i saw Sugarland at the Greek Theatre, in the pit, for $97 each plus fees this summer. The most I've paid for a face value ticket was $157 plus fees for Tom Petty at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, summer 2010. Those seats were in the same section at my Coldplay 2009 seats that I paid $97.50 plus fees for.

Yeah, I live in Vegas and the average ticket price here for floor seats to a Coldplay show is over $100.00.

wow...I saw U2 at an outdoor concert this summer in Canada. $75 taxes in.

I paid about $150 to see them last time. I also live in the middle of no where. But the still came ! :D Please come again Coldplay  if not they next closest bigger city is eight hours away and I WILL GO!

They have constantly said that they did not want to cross the $100.00 threshold for face value of their tickets. In a recent interview, and I can't remember which one, it was stated that they were going to keep this standard at least through the MX era.

Regardless of where they play, stadiums or arenas, I think this will hold true. Now if they have some special zone (a la Red Zone in U2) then that will probably be different.

When they will announce next year MX tour??? Dying to know.

I guess they'll announce the USA tour in the next few weeks.

The European Summer Tour will be announced after their short European tour in December.

in NJ/NY, we don't get anything less than $70 for stadium tours. oy vey. looking around my room for things to sell....

I think it's fairly safe to say that for Canada, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are all pretty much locks for a tour date. I'm just prayyyyyyying that they come to Ottawa. They've been here for every tour, but for the Viva La Vida tour their show wasn't added until last minute.

I have my fingers crossed for New Brunswick (but you're right about Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal). Road trip anyone?

Is there any chance of Coldplay doing any more UK shows next year?

I missed out on tickets for their O2 show and was hoping maybe they would do a summer stadium tour.

God. I'd like to. Anyways, I'll definitely go the the Moncton show. I hope that date is true.

And I hope they won't be in Montreal during spring break (first week of March) because I'll be in London. Please noooo :(

Any rumours on the Canada dates? And when are we going to know the dates for the new tour?

I'm in Montreal and Evenko (concert bookers) tweeted a couple days ago:

pppssstttt, on a un secret: Annonce majeure mardi prochain!! #PasMadonna

which means "there'll be a major announcement next tuesday (nov 1st) #notmadonna"

It doesn't mean it would be coldplay but people on twitter and facebook think it could be coldplay or radiohead

bosly 1, i think there is going to be a big announcement in the next 2-3 weeks, about a uk tour, but apparently if you look a few posts above your post, it says there could well be an announcement this Tuesday November 1, but i don't know if that concerns us in the UK or not, it may not even concern Coldplay, I actually tried for tickets for their december concert as well, but the tickets I was after sold out in less than an hour, that is incredible considering I am disabled. But I reckon when they do announce they will announce at least 3-4 concerts for the 02 arena , London. Who knows they may announce more than that as I think the demand is definitely there. Then I reckon they will announce 2-3 concerts at either Hyde Park, Milton Keynes Bowl, Twickenham, or as long as it is in september Wembley Stadium (because of the Olympics). I reckon there is definitely a 20 date arena tour at least going to be announced in the next few weeks.:wink3:

i really want them to come to the D.C. area!!!! willing to pay big bucks hahaha!
