I know technically this should go on the live threads, and I posted there, too. But I just had to share this with everyone.

 

I definitely have the Coldplay Karma thing working in my favor. Yesterday, I called in to KROQ, a Los Angeles radio station, and won tickets to be in the audience at their studio show on Tuesday. Here is that information:

 

After months of prep, it’s finally come time to break in our space with a little band known as Coldplay. Tuesday, October 18th, it’s Kevin & Bean’s Breakfast with Coldplay, and we’re giving you the opportunity to join us for this inaugural event inside the brand new Red Bull Sound Space at KROQ!

 

Beginning at 7:30am PDT on Tuesday, October 18th, log on to the Red Bull Sound Space at KROQ page to watch the exclusive live and uncut webcast of Kevin & Bean’s Breakfast with Coldplay. The webcast will feature a Q&A and performance from the band, all live from our brand new space.

Good evening. On 17 October, Coldplay will tape their first ever US daytime television appearance, for The Ellen DeGeneres Show (with the performance airing on 27 October). If you'd like to attend the recording - which will be in the afternoon - in Burbank, CA, then click here to enter for the chance to win one of the 20 pairs we have to give away, before 5pm PST on 12 October. NB: You must be over 14 to enter, and the prize consists just of tickets (not travel or accommodation). Winners will watch Coldplay's performance, but not the taping of the rest of the show.

The call-in I would rather forget ever happened. :embarrassed:

 

As for the "super-fan" letter, I still think that's hilarious. And just say, I didn't already have my tickets - and I didn't win after baring my Coldplay soul? I've finally calmed down, and come to the realization that I will be seeing them the day after tomorrow!

 

I found some photos of the size of the "SoundSpace" studio when New Found Glory did a show there last week. Oh my gosh, it's about the size of my living room!
