how you you know its the unfinished version? unless you are a record store owner and have been told this, or are part of the EMI crew, or are a part of the Coldplay organization and management, i think its silly to say one way or the other with certainty, like you did, that this leak is not the final version. How would you know?

 

Thats why i said, right now its silly. its a bunch of people arguing over whether its the final version or not. just conjecture and rumors and theories. thats all. thats all we have until the band come out and say so, or the retail versions come out and we can compare.

and PoC sounds soooo much better on the radio rip. Definetley a promotionidal/demo cd that was leaked, maybe by Emi themselves

The time thing is completely irrelevant, I don't think I have any albums that are the same as they say, and it even varies between people.

I really hope this is true. You guys keep mentioning HLH but THE WHOLE album sounds rough and weird, and this was even more noticeable to me when I listened to it in my car. HLH sounds rough and can't barely hear Chris's voice, the transition between the intro Mylo Xyloto and the HLH doesn't flow. Paradise sounds ok but Charlie Brown sounds completely distorted in my speakers. M.M.I.X sounds perfect but then the volume drops when ETIAW starts! And PoC sounds like someone is scratching the CD!

In general the sound is quite distorted and it eats away the vocals, which was one of the main reasons why I wasn't impressed at all with the album. If the rumors are true and this is not the final copy, I will be very very happy! I'm sure an upgrade in sound quality and fixing those glitches would totally transform the album.

Isn't this because M.M.I.X forms an intro for every teardrop so the beginning overlaps across the two tracks so its slightly shorter?

The guitar or piano? i dont hear nothing at 22 sec, only at 23 sec (a guiter string comes lil lil lil (JUST A LIL later) and on 21 sec a wierd piano tune transition.

the mistakes are a red flag in one way, but they also arent. how many albums have come out in the last 40 years or so with mistakes included? Hundreds maybe thousands. those that have said mistakes have become legendary. Ringo's "blisters on my fingers" in Helter Skelter, Dylan messing up a take on Bob Dylans 115th dream and erupting into laughter etc...

 

mistakes dont necessarily translate into an album thats not finished, just sayin...

So if it's a promo copy, wouldn't radio stations have a promo copy as well? People are claiming our leak is different from radio versions.

the guitar, it repeats many times in a row, and then 2nd before the start of chris singing, it's a different tone, and then it plays one more time, normally. It's def a gag

Guys, to me all 3 songs played on the radio today sounded ever so slightly different, but much better - this combined with the posts from EMI suggests that the leaked version is indeed NOT the final version. Then again, maybe I'm just being hopeful..

i Havent heard it so far but what is the difference in the Radio Version of PoC compared to that we heard before ? Thanks :)

as ive repeated three times now, theres no way to tell one way or the other, unless you are in coldplays inner circle or are a record store owner who has been given copies. i assume you are neither. im neither as well.

 

at this point as ive said its a bunch of people on here, trying to decipher whether its an unfinished album or the real deal. there is pretty much no way to figure or parse this out, whether its the true final version or not.

You can believe its the final version or its the promo unfinished version. thats fine. but to say "Its definitely this, no question about it", is beyond the pale

The beginning sounds not soo mushy if that makes any sense. The leaked one sounds kinda corrupt in the beginning, but the radio is more catergorized

Well, the duration is wrong in almost every single album on earth. If the time matters, 95% of my albums are "promotinal" editions :lol:

PoC sounds exactly the same in this supposedly "promo" leak than on itunes official stream. just sayin

The small mistakes in UATW were charming though. Chris's voice sounds very real, almost like it's live. Especially on that low 'world', I think that's kinda cute.

are we talking the same language? im here to stay, friend. secondly, where did i post i thought it was the real version? ive posted maybe 4 or 5 times on this thread. ive never once uttered that it was the real version, and even if i did, i sure as hell didnt say "this is the real version, and anyone who says differently is in denial". thats the difference between me and you and alot of other people on here. Its the matter of fact, holier than thou attitude of "i know this is the real version because....well, because i now its the real version", or conversely the "i know this is the fake version, promo version, because....well because i just know it is". No one knows, and anyone on here, who isnt connected with the band, is lying flat out.

 

EMI's word shouldnt be considered final. Record labels, all record labels, view illegal filesharing as tantamount to treason, punishable by large fines or even jail time. They have a stake in trying to have people buy the record and discourage illegal filesharing.

 

Ive never once on here said that this was the final version or that it was a promo. so i;d suggest you reread my posts, and take a second look. Its silly to debate with people who make up statements. Im happy to defend my posts, but how can i defend a post i never made? Thats dumb and pointless.

 

The main point of it is, lets have a debate about the leak being final or not. Thats a good idea. But lets not kid ourselves that we can deduce whether its final or not, and lets not debase ourselves by acting like we are in the know about whether its the final version or not. Opinions are fine, but acting like holier than thou folks who are in the know, when they really aren't... take that elsewhere
