^ Awesome! I'll look out for you haha

Yeah it'll vary, but tickets are generally delivered a couple weeks prior to the event. There's always that panic though as it gets closer haha. Can't wait though!

  • 1 month later...

Anyone interested in swapping one standing ticket of june 9th with one of this concert ?

When will Manchester Ethiad open?

I'm buying tickets for the train from Goole to Manchester. It's 48.50 taking into account 2 adults, 1 kid plus a railcard saving. This is for the 10th June.

The earliest train there is 12pm and ticketmaster say the stadium opens at 4pm. It doesn't say when the concert starts or when it'll end.

Does anyone have a pretty sure guess at when I'll be able to get the train back?

What is the latest time you can get a train back to Goole on a Sunday night?

they usually finish between 10:30pm & 11 pm. stadium is about 30 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly.

according to trainline the last train for Sheffield leaves Piccadilly at 23:20 but there's no connecting train to Goole until 05:29 Mon morning and the train before that is 20:30 before Coldplay are likely to even be on stage :(

Will it be that late that they're on? 8:30? I think the gates open at 5pm, so that would be a long long wait :s I was planning to get there around 6:30 or so.

I looked a few days ago and there were rooms available next to the stadium for £40. Could be an option and get the train back early Monday?

yup. doors open at 5pm so they'll need time to let people in. there's 2 support acts, the first of which is likely to go on around 6pm.

and the later they're on, the closer to darkness for the full effect of the xylobands

Has anyone been to a concert at the Etihad in the recent past? I went there once to see U2 and the organisation was shambolic to say the least.

Outside, no barriers telling you where to queue up for GA, when the gates opened, another set of doors nobody knew about opened so people at the back of the queue managed to jump their way to the front.

U2 has a "pit" at the front which everywhere else was for first in the queue to get into (where you'd get a wristband), security were selling the wrist bands (at least £5 a time) and not giving them out so the pit was really empty. (Let's see if they try the same trick with the Xylobands).

U2's manager hearing about the chaos allegedly sacked the company on the spot but I've heard of trouble at other concerts there.

Don't want to put a dampner on what will be a great day but would like to hear that things have improved.

I had tickets for this, and sold them on ebay, now i might actually try n get tickets for it again because i cant go to the london show!

Hmmmm so what's the best time to arrive then? Don't want to be sitting too long... Got seats booked so don't need to be early to grab a space.

If you've got reserved seats, I'd get there for about half 7 if you're not worried about seeing the support acts.

We've got unreserved seats so will be there earlier to get decent seats

Ok, thanks for that.

Just found out, through a bit of closer inspection, that the last train leaving is 20.44 to get back to where I live. If coldplay are only just starting around 8 we've had it!

What would people suggest we do?
