Post Coldplay concert depression

I still remember the aftermath of my first Coldplay concert. The next day I was so depressed, I also got a migraine and had to go home from school early :( it was misery. But when you've gone to such highs, it seems inevitable to crash to a low afterwards. It only really gets better when you see them again, and then it starts all over again ;)

I guess that's just the price we pay for being Coldplay fans!

Saw them at Sunderland last week and still feel a little down now. I know I'll see them live again, but not sure I'll see anything at all like that with the xylobands again!

Lol guys, the "first world problems" thing is an ongoing joke online and other places. Don't take it up the rear, it just shows how much priority is given with petty little things...

I already know I'm gonna go into a post-partum like depression after I go in about a month or so... It'll last at least 2 months and I'll cry with every Coldplay song with the least bit of emotion lol... I'm sensitive like that...

I've got this feeling not only after the concerts, but even after the end of book. I'm Harry Potter fan, this books were part of my childhood, and when I ended the last part, I feel terrible. Like now, we're waiting months, days or even years for Coldplay show and then it's only 2 hours and you feel a bit empty. I think it's just a part of our life. We still have targets which which help us with looking in a future. Of course, it's not a serious illness, but it's good to know that it's not a stupid figmet.

felt exactly like you said! i had never looked forward so much to anything like that in my life and after the show i just felt sort of depressed and of course you cant sleep that night cuz of the excitement so you're kinda up all night with images playing through your head etc its pretty surreal.

its fine after a couple of days though and a lot has changed since i dont think it'll happen again when i see them next

there are women and children tortured and murdered everyday in syria, and a lot of other terrible things happening. i think there are more important issues to get even remotely depressed about

I feel depressed aswell, yes. I'm not sure why though, I hardly remember the concert! I was completely absorbed in it.

I love sharing everything with you guys. Meeting fellow coldplayers really lightened my day. I'm still down since sunday but it'll get better, i'm sure.

my kind of problems

First world problems

^haha Yes! and a "lolwat?!" to your having to provide explanation of FWP.

Ahhh yes!!

I know exactly how you feel I went to my first Coldplay concert on tuesday in Houston and it was deffinantly the best night of my life! But I feel like it went by so fast and it was like all a blur and I can't remember everything! Its really been bugging me because I waited for MONTHS to see this concert and it finally came and ended just like that. I've been in a really depressed mood ever since. :( And I also have regret for taking so many pictures because I feel like it took away a little from the experience. :( Ahhh my heart aches because I love them so much!!

I know just how you feel but I have eased my low feeling by going on youtube, you'll find loads of vids from your gig. I've put mine into a playlist and can virtually re-live the concert whenever I want, it does help! Try to be happy that you've seen them, so many people aren't as lucky as us! As we say in England - Chin up!!

Concert Withdrawal

Now that the band is taking a short break before touring Canada and more of the U.S., I have to actually get a life instead of following the Tweets and live updates here on Coldplaying.com :P

And since the Dallas shows ended, I'm longing for a chance to see them play live however possible.

Anyone else going through live concert withdrawals for whatever reasons?

I've been having the same exact feeling the last 2 weeks. I used to wake up every morning counting down the days till I'd get to see them, and now there really isn't anything Coldplay based to wait for (besides the comic).

but there is the live concert DVD to look forward to and then we will have the chance to relieve the Mylo Xyloto show

Yeah, i just lost my "buzz" from the Dallas show last week. Now I'm obsessing on whether or not there will be a third US leg of the tour. Still kicking myself for not buying tickets for both Dallas shows, as one night was clearly not enough!

-Joe

I'm having withdraws, too! I'm heartbroken because I don't know how long it'll be until I'll get to see them live again. I waited for such a long time to see their concert, and it was practically over in the blink of an eye! It was the most amazing night of my life, but I'm crushed now that it's over...

definitely having withdrawls! I wish I had the time and resources to drop my real life and just follow the band everywhere they go.

I am so excited they are filming this tour, I love it when I can watch a live recording of a tour I loved and just be taken back to that moment

Just wish I could make everyone feeling down right now after a gig feel happy again.

there's always a solid depression for a week or so. Then its momentary flashback depressions of certain things (the latest being touching Guy and Jon as they walked back from the C-stage and realising they didn;t know me).

There's also the 'snobby' despression of never seeing them in a small room again playing old songs with about 3 lights as production

Same here!! I'm definitely in concert depression. 4 shows in 5 nights..absolutely amazing!!

oh yes... I do get that post-concert depression for the exact same reason, nothing to look forward to. I'm seeing them again on July 30th and August 3rd, but after that, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself :(

So glad I found this thread, I'm happy I'm not the only one who feels like that, haha.

Post-gig depression, anybody?

Wow, I haven't struggled with this level of post-gig depression in years (since my last Coldplay gig, even) so naturally I thought I would come straight to this site (which I have, regretfully, been neglecting for some time, thanks uni) to see if anybody has some methods of getting past this dark, dark time? :P

Scrolling around the threads is doing me rather well but I know it won't last forever.

P.S. I only just saw them last night - Melbourne, Etihad Stadium if anyone else was there ;) - but I have exams to study for and, well, I'm pretty distracted :laugh3:

Seeing Live 2012 at the cinema yesterday night brought PCD back to me :bomb:

I wanna see them live agaaaaaiiiinn :bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:

But you were at the best concert of them all! I'm so jelly  :D

^ It was a pretty special night, yeah :awesome:

We didn't get Warning Sign though :| and the crowd was awesome, but i'm sure it wasn't the best compared to some UK nights or in Poland for instance.
