And another thing, this album is entirely about "heart beats". He kept beating at his chest. A lot of the songs were heavily about love. His wife was behind me and he kept looking up to her and pointing to her and she was laughing and smiling right back at him. The album is sweet and to the point. Love and heart beats.

No doubt the Daily Mail, TMZ, eOnline et al. will be in overdrive right now (as is our server). A public statement to nullify any media scoops from the outset was probably sensible.

This has evidently been going on a while. But the move to L.A., the selling of houses, the buying of others, the lyrics, it's all falling more into place. It doesn't make it any better for me right now, though. I know I don't know them personally, but it's very upsetting. Dammit!!

While I can't quite remember the lyrics, I do remember thinking during True Love that it was dark, as were the other songs. I think that's why this news isn't that surprising. I'm glad that it doesn't seem acrimonious and that they seem to be getting along for the kids.

 

Also, the description of some of the narrative for the DVD/NBC Special was also on the dark side.

My god, calling an album with mainly love songs Ghost Stories... It makes sense now, too much sense. It's heartbreaking.
