August 16, 200619 yr did you guys know that albert hammond jr. is going to release a solo album only in the uk!, but don;t worry the band isn't splitting up. Albert now has a myspace profile previewing his solo work (The Album Yours To Keep is out October 9th in the UK only). Strokes' manager Ryan Gentle runs the profile. i think its very cool, also it has some songs from in transit, like Obstinate that is now called In Transit.

August 31, 200619 yr I'm sure they'll be back around, keep checking their official site. That's what I did and all of a sudden the Providence RI date popped up! I literally DIED! Lupos is just a small club, so.... omg!!! I honestly have never met any other diehard Strokes fans here in RI, so I'm assuming that I'll be the only one standing outside the venue for hours on end the day of the gig. Well, at least Lupos is right next to about 15 bars and the mall. I'll have the guys all to myself when they arrive :sneaky: I really really really want to meet them! :nice: aw man.... *dies just thinking of it!*

That's all the way in Gainsville!! It kinda sucks though, cause Pompano beach is 3 hours from Orlando and its a looooooooooong drive for a Sunday. Im crossing fingers that i go, since a lot of things have come up. :cry:

September 13, 200619 yr I saw them at Wolvo earlier in the year - top band, brutal crowd though. Lucky to escape. I ended up against the wall stage left and spent the whole gig unable to see the drummeror Albert. Oh and Adam Green supported as well - hes good, but weird.
September 13, 200619 yr The crowds are tough at Strokes shows. Here in America they're just really fucking annoying. I don't think anyone really appreciates them, so... In Ireland I stood way in the back (Oxegen Festival) and saw them from like a mile away, so it wasn't too bad back there. But up front? oy. Oh my god. Adam Green is amazing :laugh4: I really love him. :heart: I'm going to one of his gigs a week from this Sunday!!
