September 26, 201510 yr Author Happy Global Citizen Day! We had lots of amazing entries and thank you everyone for participating. We will post all the entries tomorrow. The two Coldplayers that we chose the receive the Coldplay designed Global Citizen T-Shirts are: Witfang: "'Cause yeah everybody here's got somebody to lean on" -Don't Panic "So I picked this line from Don't Panic because it is what I felt when I joined this community.... I was welcomed and accepted like a brother. This forum forged friendship, common interests, sharing of love for music, laughter, excitement, global interactions, etc. figuratively and literally, everyone here's got somebody to lean on and I'm pround of being a Coldplayer. I've attached one of my favorite pictures from my College years. We gathered around here like brothers and even though we have different style of shoes, we are still bonded by love and appreciation. That's exactly what it means to be in this community/forum. We came from different parts of the world yet we are bonded by friendship and our appreciation for the music of our favorite global band.... COLDPLAY" And Batman Square One" You just want somebody listening to what you say It doesn't matter who you are Well, I think this line from the song perfectly represents this forum, and us fans in particular. "First of all, the song is named "Square One". We all start as such when we register on here. We are nothing, a tiny point, and we are just starting to leave our traces all over the place. You just want somebody listening to what you say You are you, you have your own opinions about the band, about stuff in general, and you voice them here. You seek to find people who share the same views as you, so that you can communicate with each other. We are all social creatures, so conversation is crucial. This place gives you comfort over time, as you befriend with people who you know are always kind of there when you log in. You post something, leave a message, and in a few moments, or hours, you get an answer from someone miles away from your home, from another individual. I always loved the concept of two people talking passionately about a subject, but growing up into totally different cultures/countries. It doesn't matter who you are It really doesn't, does it? You have everybody here, EVERYBODY. Music is universal, it connects all of us. This is why it's so beautiful, you have every possible variation of human being here, so many stories, so many lives and such a wealth of cultures and experiences. You start talking, and most of them will listen, and some of them might even answer. " Congratulations!!

September 27, 201510 yr Author From ColdplayIsMyDrug The line I chose was : "...through chaos as it swirls it's us against the world..." because as you said coldplaying.com is a community and for me a community is a group of people from different countries , cultures , etc who share common interests that in our case will be coldplay :) so for me that line means that we are all together and involved in this and no matter what we are one , it doesn't matter where do we come from , our religion , our skin colour because we love coldplay that's why i chose that line :heart: From Dalia Shaban "Don't Panic" I was going through alot of difficulties in my life, till I get to know Coldplay fandom & Coldplaying community !!!! I met the most amazing guys ever !!! I have now best friends now from Brazil, USA, England, Peru and Germany !!!! Those guys gradually got my out of my depression, we always share good talks and laughs, I don't feel sad or lonely anymore !!!! so it is not just a band & fandom for me anymore, they r like my family !!! No matter what we as Coldplay fans through every leak hunt, news search etc. We all go together and help each other for the betterment of the Coldplay community, there's no rivalry only calm discussion and I've never had an unfriendly encounter with anyone on this site... I replied, I envisioned "A Field of Dreams" from my lounge window in Port Douglas FNQ Aus last year and shared some photos of Port Douglas, the Sports Complex and Rex Park. And to my pleasant surprise, @Coldplaying replied, "that would be perfect!" I was so excited at the thought of Coldplay headlining/fulfilling one of my own dreams (see www.PortDouglasMusicFestival.com @portdmusicfest) that I felt inspired to pack up and drive back home to Far North Queensland from Canberra in Australia’s Capital, within a week, and started promoting the idea straight away. The picture I have shared with you is of my daughter Jade and I in the local newspaper on Thursday August 27 2015. I chose the lyrics of Strawberry Swing because without Coldplay in Far North Queensland Australia, I'm just miles away... I wrote about this on my website (see About PortDMusicFest). The reason I chose this line is because when I first joined the Coldplaying community I had a lot going on in my life, and since I have been talking to Coldplayers I no longer feel alone.
