Coldplaying Attitude of Gratitude

Featured Replies

Hi ! This thread is a kind of companion thread to the Don't Let It Break Your Heart Thread.

The idea is that no matter how bad or depressing your day or your life currently feels, you can always find small things to be grateful for and find happiness in. Consciously thinking about those things can make you focus more on the positive things in life and make you a happier person in general, or so I have heard. I have seen a thread like this on another, job-related forum which I occasionally read in and I really liked the idea of sharing the things you are grateful for, this way we can learn from each other to find positivity in life to hold on to and maybe start seeing our own lives with different eyes.

Feel free to post every day or at longer intervals, whatever pace you're comfortable with. It can be anything, also Coldplay-related things, and remember nothing is too small or trivial to be named.

I'll start it off:

Today, I'm grateful for...

the Coldplaying Listening Party later tonight

Today I am grateful for music because without it, I don't know who I'd be

... For the wonderful week I had!

My 2 little nieces who are predicting to me what is going to happen in the video of Trolls that we were watching together.

Makes me giggle everytime.

Wow, that's pretty drastic. As corny as this may sound, I'm grateful for the Coldplaying forums, haven't been here for a little bit. So WASSAP EVERYONE.

Also, I'm thankful whenever I don't have to set an alarm to wake up to in the morning. I hate alarms.

Today I'm grateful for my nasal decongestant spray which helps me cope with a bad cold.

Or, to put it in other words: Here's an ode, an ode to aerosol.... :P

Wassap Vsauce Micheal here... Yeah it is drastic but I get so caught up in things sometimes that I forget that other people have felt the same way as I have and have gotten through it. Which is comforting. God same I dread alarms.

Coming home on a bike ride today I saw such a beautiful sunset and really felt thankful that "we live in a beautiful world". It's good to see you back though :) (I hope the personality thread isn't dying either).

I hope your cold clears up soon, I ran away.

Yes, agree that music is one of the best things in life.

Thanks !

So grateful for my friends and family and the sunshine we had this weekend!

Oh you watch him too? Haha, the music in his videos sound a little creepy haha but the info is interesting. Speaking of which, I'm thankful for all those science channels on YouTube - they're so fun to watch. That's cool that you can relate to the music like that. I mainly listen to music to tune in a little to my emotional side ;). About the alarms, they sort of startle me, especially if they're loud and sudden, and they'll make me feel groggy all day, that's why I try to do without them.

And thanks :) I hope to restart the thread after figuring out what is going on with Will :D

yesssss

do you guys watch Sci Show? i love that channel. i also recently started watching Tested, which is not strictly science-y but still great :P

I can recommend Life In Technicolor there ;)

i actually did use to wake up to LiT for a few years... and then whenever i heard it otherwise i would start to get this anxious feeling like, "oh, you need to get up!!!" even though i was already up and about :P

ha, same for me ! All those alarm melodies that I've overused would sometimes give me the creeps when I heard them outside of the alarm context.

I do actually, although they talk really fast and give a lot of imo useless information that I will never remember. You gotta love the anus jokes in the comment sections though lmao. I've never watched Tested, I'll check it out.

Funny, I actually put it on my phone when earlier someone here recommended to use it, but something happened to my phone where all the music got erased, so I never got to try it :(. But maybe I will.

haha, that's true, a lot of them do talk fast. i think Michael Aranda is the only one who talks slowly on the regular SciShow channel. SciShow Space has some other slow talkers... but yeah, i don't always remember the information afterward. :P

That's what I use! It is a little startling if you sleep through the first part[emoji14]

Did you take any pictures? If so, post them here!

No unfortunately I didn't take any photos :(

Yeah I watch Vsauce and Veritasium, they're both really good and really do help me with learning concepts I needed to know for high school as well. Yeah I am grateful for them too, like Micheal is a legend, I find the videos with him and idubbbz pretty funny too. That's interesting, I'm like the opposite and when I'm not in touch with my emotions or what I am feeling it doesn't feel right :P yeah same although even without alarms waking up usually isn't all that fun. True Will is really hard but I feel like you were on the right track with ENFJ (was it?).

I have gotten so bad over time with alarms that nowadays I don't even wake up to Politik anymore. I mean I wake up briefly, but then I roll over and just go on sleeping despite the drums and all that :D

I have to put my phone where I have to get out of bed to turn it off haha

Told ya ;) I watched some Tested. Kind of gives me like MythBusters vibes haha

I feel like if I made it a coldplay song, I would end up happily listening to it whilst in bed and not get out to turn it off lol.

... For having Coldplay in the exact moment I need them :)
