On a black string he has a colorful elephant (navy blue, white, green and lime), "M", something which looks like an odd "3". There is one more "hanger" on this string but I can't see what it is. On a blue string he has a heart with "love" engraved on it.

That "3" is actually called Om and it is a mantra in some Eastern religions (including Hinduism) which represents, among other things, the sound of the Universe [emoji6]
