The Offical "The Killers" Thread

For me, comparing Hot Fuss and Sam's Town is like comparing Coldplay albums. I love both, they just have seperate strengths. I think Hot Fuss is a better album in terms of each song...not one weak song on there, except maybe Everything Will Be Alright.

Sam's Town just feels more whole, more unified...one product, rather than a collection. Still, you can't go wrong buying either, IMO!

I do agree with you ^_^

I heard "A Great Big Sled" on the radio this morning...

...and the first thing that popped into my head that it sounded very similar to that Darkness christmas track.

Hello everyone!! I finally got a chanse to post!

The concert was amazing!! I had so much fun, it was just WOW. I was front row, FRONT ROW!! Never before in my entire life have I ever been front row before! Seeing them so cose blew my mind. Sure I was almost crushed to death, but It was totally worth it!:D

The guys were good, energetic and happy (and looked very hot, lol) . I took a few pictures that I´ll post later. Mostly of Brandond and Dave because I was on the left side of the stage. One of my favorite parts is when Brandond introduced them. " Bienvenidos, somos los Dientes del perro" lol

At the moment I don´t have the setlist, I don´t even remember the order of the songs, but I´m sure its around there somewhere. What I do remember is that they opened with Sam´s town, they played Inde rock and roll, jenny was a friend of mine, andy, bling, and my absolute favorite, All these things that I´ve done, It was great to sing a long to it!!

If any of you guys happned to bump into anymore pics, videos or anything I would love to see that, anything else to remember that night!

I´m sure they're lots of other things but I can´t remember at the moment. The only bad thing is that I got sick that morning, sure I forgot about it that night, but the next day I had no voice, and I still can´t stop coughing. Damn, I hate getting sick. But I´m happpy:nice:

I´ll post pics later!

Excellent, Wendy, I can't wait to see the pics!

I've never heard the Darkness Christmas song...but I do like the Killers song, nothing outstanding though.

I don't like them...:)

I love them!!!

My fav vids from them are ...Bones..Somebody told me,when you were young, smile like you mean it

I love A Great Big Sled! When I first heard it, it automatically had a Sam's Town feel to it for me.

Okay, so I downloaded both of the albums from the internet, cause there were no money left. And I discovered, that Hot Fuss is a better one for me.

I love Hot Fuss, but I think that Sam's Town is better. It's such a huge improvement from Hot Fuss and it shows how much they have grown as musicians.

I do agree with you. But, Hot Fuss is better for me, cause the melodies there are very catchy and it's more rock, IMO.

Better late than never right?

The Killers set to headline V Festival

Indie rockers The Killers are set to headline this year's V Festival, according to The Sun.

The Las Vegas outfit have apparently signed up to headline the shows in Staffordshire and Chelmsford in August. The band have also been linked with joining the line-up for the memorial concert for Princess Diana, which will take place at the new Wembley Stadium on July 1.

The Concert for Diana takes place on July 1 as it would have been the Princess' 46th birthday. Princes William and Harry are reportedly big fans of The Killers and have asked them to join the line-up for the gig.

The show will feature the likes of Sir Elton John, Joss Stone, Bryan Ferry, Duran Duran and Pharrell Williams. There will also be appearances by the English National Ballet and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
