Rollign Stone gave Sam's Town a crap review... 2/5 stars!

Really I thought it would have been hard to find an album worst than The Paddingtons's First Comes First (Piss-Poor Libertines rip-off band), but Sam's Town manages to beat that.

I don't think it's THAT bad, but it is a bit dull. "Why do I keep counting" really jumped out at me... the rest... er... needs a couple more listens to see if any others get better... but I'm not sure if I have the energy to try without going into a coma.

 

I hate sophmore slumps. They make me sad.

so its been settled... lol I won't spend a dime on this one, I'll mooch it off the internet somewhere.. lol or maybe one of my co-workers will buy it and burn me a copy.. lol

 

I actually like the first single.. but, RS said it was the only worth while song. Apparently they tried to change their image a bit?? No more eye makeup? lol

i absolutely love sams town, but i guess tastes are diferent. Lol, could be because im a huge killers fan :) u guys should give it another try, rs isnt the only mag that reveiws cds, other reveiwers gave them great reviewers

true... but I get it for free :P (RS that is.. lol) I actually enjoyed Hot Fuss... I was one of the first few who was a fan immediately.... I'll give it a go, I just won't pay for it.. :P

It`s actually good if you just stop expecting domething else, I had it on in the car earlier, some good songs on it.

For me rolling stones giving them a bad review means the cd is really good. They give good bands bad reviews all the time. Hell they gave eminem 4 fucking stars on his last album, talk about a load of crap.

I think it all depends on the actual reviewer..... not just the magazine. I didn't hear Em's album so I wouldn't know.. lol but they did give Yo La Tengo 4 stars.... and its an excellent album.. :P

I actually think its pretty good. Didn't quite like it at first, but after a few more listens I kinda like it. And it seems to keep on growing.

What a :whatever:...he should piss off and actually make some good music,although i did like Hot Fuss...its nothing compared to Radiohead....plus someone should ask him when Radiohead were ever pop..cos I dont know..:lol:

definitely download the album, its worth the money, but if ur skeptical, it has leaked. the songs are difnite growers, save a few. The album gets larger and larger after every listen. trust me. ;)

On multiple listens, yeah, there really are some good growers on it.

 

But still... not one song as obviously amazing as "All These Things I've done".

I only like 4 songs on sams town. Sams Town, When you Were young, Reasons Unknown, The River is Wild. Thats it. Some of the other songs are ok, like Uncle Johnny, or the Bling song. The rest is crap. I dont know how the producers, even the members of the band let brandon sing so badly on some of the songs. Some of the screeching and loud screaming/singing is horrible. Its supposed to feel more raw I guess, but it comes out sounding just horrible.

Their new cd exceeds my expectations. The Killers seem to have grown in their sound and confidence. Its still The Killers, so that means there arent many HUGE suprises, however, its very good nonetheless. :D

Yeah and I like that new song. I have to say that I kinda don't like the new mustache thou.

the video isn't great, but i love the song, it's fantastic. it sounds just like the killers, but sounds like nothing on hot fuss. they've made changes in their sound, and for the better i hope.

From what ive heard on the Live Leak on Mtv.I like it so far!I like all the songs theyve played on the Live Leak.

Yeah live leak was great, but i didnt like it they played bones. I seriously dislike that song.

Why dont u like Bones Sienna?Just wondering.The intro is cool i think.
