An exclusive look at Guy Berryman's new amp

Take a look at these exclusive images of Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman's new custom-made Hiwatt bass amp head and cabinet, supplied to MusicRadar by the UK amp-maker itself.

According to Hiwatt, Coldplay are not endorsees, but instead asked the firm to manufacture the rig to their spec. The 200-watt amp head was therefore hand-built in the UK and is paired with a 4x12 cabinet, loaded with Fane speakers.

MX and R-X can RX mean an other album is coming out?? o.O look at the piano

^ It's actually "REX", which is believed to be the title of a song that didn't make it to the album (or got transformed and put into another song, etc etc)

But if it'd mean that an EP is coming out that would be great too :wideeyed:

It's weird that Guy has the first picture on their scolling gallery of endorsers and is heavily featured elsewhere, since he is "not an endorsee". Though it makes sense, since the guys have historically not been official endorsers of any gear. (Except for Will.)

"I thought Jonny endorsed Fender guitars...?"

I'm really not sure if he does or not. He had a branded promotion earlier this year, and is generally given the amount of attention on the website that they usually reserve for players in their endorsement program, but he's not on the official list of endorsers, nor is Coldplay as a band. TBH, I thought Guy did endorse HiWatt before reading this, given that he's all over the HiWatt website. I

Which only leaves one question: WHY HAVEN'T I EVER LOOKED AT THEIR WEBSITE???

The one for HiWatt? Don't bother, it's abysmally bad for such a major brand.

I've never used their gear, so didn't know that.

But I meant Fender's site.;)

The Fender one is actually decent. It provides useful info, in a format that's not totally dumb.
