err wouldn't say Kiefer Sutherland, Michael Douglas, Eric Bana, Bruce Willis, George Clooney, Matt damon, Matt Dylon, Russel Crowe (CMON!!) ........ are "really bad actors" the topic ain't "i fucking hate these actors" but questions their talent, well I might have done wrong naming Kevin Costner

I don´t hate those actors. I just think they act really bad ! Their facial expressions don´t change ! Especially George Clooney.

Clooney has that charming face (:charming:) in most of his movies cos it fits to his role (eg oceans eleven or intolerabe cruelty) but you should watch solaris or oh brother, where are thou!

so you really think Crowe, Damon and Sutherland "act really bad" hmm you might have a little different idea of acting

Brad Pitt and Ben Afflect....I really don't know how Ben Affleck became an actor, he's SOOOOOOOOOOOO wooden!

Brad Pitt isn't much better.

I think Brad Pitt is brilliant! He did such an amazing job in all of his movies, especially Fight Club.

Nigel Harman from Eastenders -how bad is his acting? but he's so good looking no-one gives a damn anyway :o

I don't think he's bad, actually. He's not exactly Actor of The Year, but he's okay, I think :) Sometimes it looks like he's trying too hard, but sometimes I think he's really good -- like in that famous episode in the Vic with Den

Ooo.. Ben Affleck. I mean, he's in all the big blockbuster's n stuff and he's not bad looking ... but he's not one of the best out there.

I've noticed that sometimes it's the movie that's bad and not really the actor.. like maybe I'll see the actor in another movie and they were better in that one than the bad movie. perhaps the director/script is bad *shrug*

exactly.

Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Kevin Spacey to name just a few are all absolutely sublime actors. But one time or another, they've been in some pretty bad movies. You have to remember they can only work with what they've been given - if the screenplay is bad, and the cinematographer and director haven't got a clue, their performance is going to look horrendous.

Another point is that a brilliant director can make a bad actor look amazing. Scorcese did it with Sharon Stone in Casino. Tarantino did it with Tim Roth in Reservoir Dogs and Uma Thurman in Kill Bill & Pulp Fiction. Sam Mendes did it with Mena Suvari in American Beauty.

Of course, if you are a truly terrible actor, you have no hope of ever making a good movie.

what are you talking about???

Tobey Maguire is an awesome actor! Proof of this is acting in Seabiscuit, Wonderboys, The Cider House Rules, and Pleasentville.

Ben Affleck is a good actor. Just watch Ben in Chasing Lanes, he does great acting as a lawyer who is fighting corruption in his firm.

Keifer Sutherland is a great actor, watch 24!

Bruce Willis...he was good in Die Hard.

George Clooney was great in Solaris.

Russell Crow is a great actor!

if ya want bad actors

KEANU REEVES tops the list, he never moves his face at all, and he always talks in one tone....

Sylvester Stallone, the only thing this guy did good in was Rocky 1 and Rambo.

Eric Bana is good, I'd like to see you try and play the HULK!

Keanu Reeves is a pretty easy target for this thread.

I have yet to see Orlando Bloom do anything that didn't require more than shooting arrows and looking pretty, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, even though there some moments throughout the Lord of the Rings saga that almost made me burst with laughter (two words: "A DIVERSION!").

How about Hayden Christiansen? I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt too, because I've only ever seen him in "Attack of the Clones" but MY GOD that was terrible. Granted, George Lucas isn't what you'd call a great director or writer by any means, but yeesh.
