Sigur Ros could possibly be my all-time favourite band.

 

They are coming here to Australia next year and i am sooo going !!!!

 

And another thing. When i found out they where working on Takk a while ago i was kinda worried it might not measure up to the shear brilliance of ( ).

 

Boy was i wrong. Takk is astonishing

i started to listen to Sigur Rós only few days ago.and after few days i can say that they are AMAZING.absolutely different music style.nothing compares to them.i'm so happy,that i've discovered them.their new album "Takk" is amazing,and one of the best of this year.

Well I've finally decided to try some stuff for them and see if I like them or not. What songs do you recommend I should start with or whats their best album? Just want a couple of recommendations.

try with "Takk",it's their last album,but i also recommend Agatis Byrjun and ( ),Von their first,i haven't heard yet :(

well, im a huge fan of the band, and i love their albums so much...but if i was to choose my fav it's a tie between Takk And ( )...because ( ) made me love this band...i couldnt believe my ears when i first heard it...

i love Takk since its their most accessible album yet, i love all their songs and makes a great album to fall asleep to, its so relaxing!!

Agaetis Byrjun is just a classic....it contains songs that are timeless like:

Svefn g englar, Vidrar vel til loftarasa, Ny Batteri...

Von..is probably my least fav, but great notheless...Von, Haffsol...

i haven't heard Von yet :/ so it will be 4th

Takk is very good,i really like some songs(Hoppipola,Milano,Glosoli...),but i prefer ( ) and Agatis Byrjun more,so Takk is 3rd

for me very hard to choose between ( ) and AB... :/

my fave song is on ( ),but i think i like AB more atm,so ( ) is 2nd

1st: AB,my fave SR album at the moment

agreed.... for now. ( ) listened in its entirety is bliss, but its hard to listen to only a track or two at a time. Agaetis and Takk can be listened to a few at a time.

Takk and Agaetis change between #1 and 2 a lot for me.
