Apparently there'll be a special code thing each ticket buyer will get so that they'll be able to participate in a competition... There's one prize per continent (two for Asia) so the chance of winning it is very small but worth it, I guess.

I just wanted to vent for one moment, no more than that, because this is one of the bands that introduced me to music and it's just not meant to be again, first I was too young to go to a concert and now I'm too young to make an 8-hour drive in the middle of a school week, which in Europe is like crossing several different countries, but whatever, I'm spoiled and I don't care about anyone except me, you're free to believe whatever you like

 

I don't mind missing gigs and I go to very few, don't sit very close, but this is one I must see before I die, you know :wacko:

I know how you feel dee, I'm 17 and I live in the UK I've never been to a proper concert as such and when I talk online about not being able to go I get the same response 'it's only like a 3 hour drive' but still my parents are poor and certainly wouldn't let me go on my own. Plus the public transport sucks round here and the only concert they did in the uk this year was at a festival right at the other end of the country on a small island. I hope when I go to Uni I can just go to as many concerts as I like.

So the Valtari Experiment was pretty cool. No frills, literally just the videos from the website played back to back, though the theater atmosphere made them much more visceral. Still, 4 or 5 of them were truly awful, and finished with what might be the worst one (the one with the girl skipping through streets). When the lights came back on everyone was kind of stunned at the anticlimax.

The gig was super awesome, intense...just spechless, completely different from the last one i went in 2008, i'm glad i did not cry this time lol

 

Before i get there, i was walking around the venue with a friend, we passed by the entrnce of the artists, but i know how shy Jonsi is and how much he hates to do interviews, so i did not stare there to see if i could see any band member...but men.. i was freakin lucky, i was walking and all of sudden i saw a couple coming in our direction from far i could not see that it was jonsi with one girl from their band lol only when they passed right next to us, i was petrified :| i was telling my friend ( she does not know very much the band) " look thats Jonsi, is jonsi. omg" but i was trying to be quite lol i dont know why, but then he looked behind and i could not resit and i just wave and said hiiiiii with this awkward smile :dead: he wave back to me and said hi lol he was not so expressive like i was, but hell... i cant believe that i said hi to this God :heart:

 

I dont know, it was just magic, i never wanted to met him you know, i always wanted to keep the mistery from sigur rós lol i cant explain... god this was the best valentine i will ever get :')

 

About merchandise, Ms Magpie, no heima there, super expensive merchandise :( the guitar picks were 15€, i bought valtari buttons, but there is one that is really strange lol i'm still trying to figure out what is that.

 

They had Valtari Lp for 30€

Cd for 15€

and Ekki Muk 10' for 15€

 

the prices from website are cheaper than this, but then i dont know, probably with shipping costs is gonna be the same.. so..well.. that's it :)
