Boston - Gilette Stadium show...
I really have no interest in seeing them in a stadium of that size. I just feel that no matter how good a band is theres just a limit to the experience you can have in a venue that big. You might as well pop in the CD at home for all your gonna see if you end up in the nose bleed seats there. I really don't understand why bands like it at all. I get that theres probably an initial thrill of looking out at all those faces, but if your really thinking about the quality of the show experience you've got to know it cant be as good in that big of a setting. I go to a show to feel involved in the music experience, thats really not possible when the band look like ants from your seat.

Will LIT have a different name on the next album?
I would bet everything I own that " Life in Technicolor + lyrics", will not be present on the new album, whenever its released. I would imagine a host of new songs and new opinions about current songs will enter Chris's brain and destroy any hope that song has of seeing the light of day on an album. But maybe as a B-side someday...

The Office the US version....
This is without a doubt my favorite show currently running on television. I agree that last season was probably the weakest yet, but still better than most of the crap on TV. I cant wait for the new season to begin, I just really hope they don't do something stupid like have Pam and Jim have gotten engaged "over the summer." I did not appreciate that effect last season when they had been "dating all summer" when the show came back on air. A little anticlimactic.

Viva La Vida music videos! (Videos in first post)
Hype Williams version is now available for purchase on US Itunes. Is it too much to hope that they'll at least make the other available for purchase eventually even if the masses wont get to enjoy it on MTV?....

original VIVA tracklisting???
yeah I wondered that too. Kind of an odd graphic for them to put up.

acoustic version of songs at concerts
They played the hardest part at our show and it sounded incredible. One of the few times I liked a concert version better than the album version. The sound was great, but a bit of that is going to depend on the venue you go to, and every thing sounds bad on youtube, so don't judge by that.

What do you think about the running time of "Viva La Vida" tour concerts???
For me it isn't a money issue, (though if the ticket prices go any higher it could become one.) more a catalog issue. As I see it, the Twisted Logic Tour worked out really well at 90 min because we got about 7 songs from the two more current albums at the time, and at least 3 from the first along with a b-side or two. I was more than happy with that arrangement. But with four albums out now, and the guys wanting to play at least 10 from the new record, that shaves the list of old favorites down considerably, not to mention the fact that being aware of that they seem to be choosing only the biggest singles, which is great if your a newer fan but for anybody who's been around it would be nice to hear a few songs that might have had a bit more underground appeal. When your talking about getting no more than 1-3 songs from each of the other albums, it starts to get a little annoying especially since they are only 4 albums in. I expected to have to deal with that kind of skimping 8 albums in, not this soon though. And on a personal not of annoyance, I don't really enjoy the fact that to fit even that many songs in they seem to be rushing through the classics, unlike the previous tour where they took their time and tinkered with songs, and really made it feel like they were proud to play each and every one, not something they were obliged to get through to get on to the new music. On one final not, the guys are great performers, and I enjoyed the concert immensely, and will be going to more next year if they come back to California, but I'm going to call it like I see it, and the last tour was a little more polished.

[Article] Coldplay Takes On The Pope
Being a Catholic myself I'm perfectly comfortable singing along to Viva La Vida, I hear absolutely no "attack on the pope" or the "catholic church." If anything Violet Hill has more of a tendency in that direction, even so it happens to be my favorite song on the album. I firmly feel that as long as people are basically respectful they have every right to have their opinions on religions, and the lyrics are not so in your face as to make it impossible for it to mean something personal to me. Coldplay have never taken an in your face attitude with their opinions so there welcome to have them, I don't have to agree with them politically or morally to love their music. If I only listened to bands who shared my philosophy on life I would have a very slim album collection.

X & Y Coldplay or Viva La Vida Coldplay?
Overall I'm not a huge fan of the costumes, but I like their new videos. They show a side of the band thats a bit more organic, and the "cover video" is just brilliant. Where I do miss some of the grandeur is their live shows, the lighting and atmosphere and whatnot were just a little more special last time around, so I guess you could say I'm on the fence about it, I like aspects of the change and dislike others. I'd like to see them strike a nice balance in the future.

Viva La Vida music videos! (Videos in first post)
The second one (cover video) is absolutely awesome!!!!!! And I'm sooo sad because I know that there is no way America is gonna air that video instead of the first one, but they should because its so sad and happy and brilliant. It fits the song so perfectly, bravo to Chris for his little sad look throughout and who didn't just adore seeing Will, Guy, and Jonny coming over the hill. Just a perfect video. I really hope they at least put both versions on the American Itunes. I think its my favorite video ever lol.

New EP March 2009
I really couldn't be happier!!! But I'm not holding my breath on a new album too so soon, I tend to think their perfectionism will get in the way, as they tend to throw out at least one version of each album lol. But an EP is absolutely awesome!!!!!

I love that song, but I've never gotten an Oasis vibe, no.

I think VLVODAAHF may be my FAVORITE ALBUM EVER
Yep, X & Y was definitely better for me too.
- Lost!

Lovers in Japan Aged Poorly
I never cared for the song actually. Theres way too much synth going on constantly in the background, and it just comes off sounding frantic and cluttered. This is one track I think would really have benefited from their older stripped down style.

Most underrated song on the album?
Violet hill is seriously becoming my favorite track on the album
-
What song should they perform at grammys?
I'm guessing they'll play Viva La Vida, or Lost! I'd like them to play a really great version of 42, but I don't see that happening. However I hope if they pick VLV they use a full out orchestra, because I'm not so much enjoying all the pre-recorded stuff.

Grammy predix
I'm not holding my breath, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

so many songs are forgotten...
If they ever recorded a studio version of 'Ladder to the Sun' it would make my life.

No other Coldplay song tops POLITIK
It definitely battles for the number one spot for me, with the title track of the same album always close behind.

I think VLVODAAHF may be my FAVORITE ALBUM EVER
For me I think its the opposite, (warning unpopular opinion ahead) so far this is the album I've least been able to get into. Rush of Blood to the Head being the stand out number one for me. But if this is the worst they ever do, I gotta tell you I'm a happy camper.

I noticed, but I'm just hoping for the best. It does me no good to worry about it, though I probably will anyway.
