I'll put the CD in the stereo at home and everyone will have to listen, with pleasure, so does that count? I have quite some friends who like Coldplay but I bet no one knows about MX coming up.

If even Mylo gets along with Xyloto, that should be possible indeed.

That would be great, it would mean that I won't have to wait for a week to hear it (for some reason I won't be able to access anything multimedia until friday).

You know, I don't even want to read my own rant anymore. Even though I still think it's all true (with a few grains of salt), it's just depressing and I'm just going to take the album the way it is. I WILL buy it, as a whole, for sure, that's what albums are for and that's what Coldplay is good at. ETIAW made me realise that I can't love everything they do, and that was hard to take but also a relief realising that I don't like Coldplay because of Coldplay, but simply because most things they do are really great. And if I don't like the album, I'll have my fingers crossed that they change direction again into something I do like. I really don't think they've lost their grip. I won't let it break my heart, for that matter.

This is growing to be the best thread in the MX subforum. I'm not being sarcastic, love it.

I guess it's the thought of listening to a vinyl LP that counts. I love vinyl just for the sake of it.

Whiny repetitive rant coming up. If you are super excited about MX, don't read. Wow, can't believe I'm being so negative on this band I love so much. Let's say Mylo Xyloto can only surprise me in a positive way, although I doubt it, and I'm afraid I will be disappointed when it's not good anyway. I appreciate the great effort the boys put into this project no matter what. Fingers crossed.

In Belgium they are kind of huge with the (pre-) teen crowd that dominates the charts. The ones that also like Rihanna and LMFAO and Justin Bieber and all that.

I'm keeping expectations low. Makes the release day come faster and softens the blow of a possible disappointment. As long as it's better than ETIAW, but still. I really think I'll be disapointed again.

I think they are going to be nominated (at least) for Album Of The Year, no matter how great, average or crappy the album will be. Because they're Coldplay. Their current popularity is largely determined by their success over the last 11 years, not only this year. Coldplay have become some kind of brand. And Grammys are all about popularity.

Don't forget Suck It And See, in my opinion by far the best album released this year so far.

The MX part that is an intro to Hurts Like Heaven sounds really Christmas-y to me. And it's not really the time of the year for that. :p But it makes me curious on how the full version will sound.

I completely agree. I love the democratic kinda-socialist way they share everything equally. Or at least that's what they say. Even though I think it's not really our business, I'd like to hear that they at least do what they said several times and share equally.
